People keep calling from this number asking for a gentleman I keep repeatedly saying doesn't have this number anymore. This has been going on for two years now. Finally called the number back and requested that they stop and was told that there is nothing they can do. I then told her to put a note on the account that this is no longer his number and to stop calling. We'll see what happens.
Just got a call from them. Ignored it and let it go to voicemail. No message was left, which is always an issue. This phone number is not US Bank. Scam alert.
i got a fony looking letter by mail saying im late on this credit card i dont even have and doenst exist, they call it ELAN!!!!!
Get constant calls from this number, 877-838-4347, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a row and multiple times a day starting as early a 8 am and as late as 9 pm 7 days a week. Phone is always hooked up to an answering machine but this caller NEVER leaves a message.
these jacklegs are real funny calling and all. I wish their was away to bring action to these sorry s.o.b's. I have never owned a credit card so they need to quit bothering me. this # is far from annoying its affecting some of my constitutional rights if you ask me. if they call back again i hope they record the but chewing they are going to get.
Dude, that's awesome. I wish I'd thought of doing that sort of thing. I get calls all the time from doctors offices and creditors looking for other people. :P
For a while, I was getting calls from a similar number - always asking for "Charles." Their line was he'd won some prize. I was so frustrated. No matter how many times I told them no Charles existed, they called back. I finally googled it and found a message board like this one. One poster said these people work for companies who basically call phone numbers over and over to see who answers; then they compile the "good" numbers and sell them to telemarketers. So I think the best defense is, don't answer. If it's a legitimate credit card/bank call, your financial institution will leave a message. I've now been getting calls from this 877 number daily for a couple of weeks and I just ignore it in hopes that some day, it will stop. They ahve never once left a voicemail.
I keep getting these calls but haven't been answering. The people that call aren't leaving a message. I have been curious as to who it is so I called the number back and the recorded message said I should hold on the line for the next available representative to take care of my credit card payment.
have been receiving calls from this number. After doing a search, have been told that it is US Bank. I have made arrangements with US Bank, so they shouldn't be calling me. I don't answer calls that I don't know who they are. Only the number shows up.
oh man, Maxwell - I mean Norman - that's too good. It's especially amusing since I called these jerks back in irritation to inform them that Mr. Turnquist does not live here, this is not his number and I want them to stop calling and the CSR told me that she could not do anything. I think this will now become my act with this company and CitiBank, who is a phone call away from being reported to FOUR state Attorney Generals.
