Just got another call from 1-888-123-4567. This time I got a live person, claiming to be from Wells Fargo and offering me a $25 gas card. Then all of a sudden the call disconnected. I called Wells Fargo Fraud. They are aware that WF and other financial institutions are being identified with this number. Their only advice is to NOT give out ANY information and just ignore the call. I'm snding yet another email to www.donotcall.gov. These calls are just too d* annoying! I'm going to identify WF as the Caller Company, though. With enough bad press, they may want to use their lobbying power to get this number disconnected.

I keep getting calls from 888-123-4567 averaging about 3/day. I wish I were home to answer these [***], but I'm at work all day...It's ANNOYING!!

I just got a call from this number yesterday. ID says Call Center. I had just called Bank Of America to get customer service and this call came about 1/2 hour later. Just a coincidence? I am with Wells Fargo also but this was the first time this number called. Now that I see it here, I will have my Caller ID Manager send this number to ring ring with no answer land. I might as well block the whole area code.I think our banks are selling our numbers trying to see us more services like insurance,etc. I don't know. I didn't answer the call and it did not leave any message on the answering machine. From reading here I guess they are just STARTing to call me. Well, I won't hear their ring anymore.

I just had the same thing happen. Said he was from Wells Fargo and wanted to send me a $25 gas card and an offer for some medical program. Said he needed my birth date, at which point I told him I wasn't interested. Obviously a scam given the posts and that Wells Fargo sends me plenty of unsolicited mail without ever calling or needing information.

If we choose to make our personal information including our address and phone number(s) our personal property with personal property rights then we could sell our rights to whomever we choose for any amount we could get. But alas only a third party can collect our personal information then sell same to another third party. And some still believe we have a 'free' market.

I too have been getting these annoying calls, as well as others that don't leave a message, and when I DO answer the phone, don't say anything, just hang up! I tried calling back, but it's either busy, or cannot be completed. I wish there WAS something we all can do. (:-(

I don't know what you're talking about--"party bashing"? We're talking about stupid "telemarketers" who call up many times a day/week and don't leave messages, or say anything if you DO answer the phone. There was NO mention of voting, etc.

They cal lat least twice a day. When we answer, there is nobody on the phoneQ.When we try to call them back to ask them to leave us alone, there is a message saying that this phone number does not exist.

I have an auto account with Wells Fargo and have received this number several times in the last two days. We all need to contact WF and complain.

This is a funny message board. The subject is about a number that people are being called from and it ends up in a verbal online argument between Dems and Reps. This is why America is laughed at. I'm a born-American, so don't chew out about not being American. This is also why America is a great place to live. All Americans are not of like mind. We can all live in the same neighborhood for all our lives and everyone in the neighborhood is completely different. These messages are just too funny!
