I'm not being called by this number, but someone is charging my debit card at $58.13 a pop. It happened twice this past weekend. My bank has canceled my card and I'm putting through disputes to get reimbursed. They'll investigate. I'm not sure how this happened. I'm still in possession of my card.
CANCEL YOUR CARD!!!!! THEY CHARGED MY DAUGHTERS ATM NUMBER 9 TIMES AT 15.00 A POP! OVERDREW HER ACCOUNT AND IT TOOK AN ACT OF GOD TO GET IT BACK. VERIZON IS NOT A HELP, BELIEVE ME. THE BANK IS INVESTIGATING FOR FRAUD. THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO USE IT BUT THANK GOD HER ACCOUNT IS NOW FLAGGED FOR REGULAR REVIEW.
They didn't call me, but I had a charge of $100 twice on 12/21 on my bank statement. I found it this morning when I checked my online account, which I do every morning. I immediately did a google search to find what I could, which led me here. On my online statement, the company is listed as "VZWRLSS*ECARS O" and I knew I had not used my card to pay for anything remotely resembling this. I'm shocked if it is truely Verizon, but something tells me it is a fraudulent company wanting to look like them. When they get busted, I hope they fry. Right here at Christmas is a really bad time for this to happen. I've called Verizon and they gave me the number to the fraud department. I left a message and told them my brother is an attorney and I'm sure he will be happy to help me resolve this. Best of luck to you all. And Merry Christmas!
I have the same charges on my bank account from "VZWRLSS*ECARS OT", charged 3 times. They used my credit card/debit card to charge my account. I reported fraud through my bank and called Verizon wireless, 1-800-922-0204. They transferred me to "phone prepay". Everyone was so nice, but I kept getting transferred from dept to dept. No satisfaction. My bank rocks though, I've reported this to fraud with them and the police department.
My purse including my debit/credit card was stolen and used 7 times last night, 6 at $1 and then 1 time at $54.20, all showing up as VZWRLSS*ECARS OT! It is to easy for people to pay for things over the phone with stolen debit/credit cards! I have to wait until tomorrow to work this through my bank. I also filed a police report.
This happened to me yesterday. I never called any number either. The charge just showed up on my bank account. I believe that my call log will be helpful in putting this to rest, since there is no record of any call from my phone to this number.
My wallet was stolen last night in SD, and all of my debit and credit cards are showing $1 or $100 charges to this number since last night. If anyone has any more info that leads to these thiefs, please post it here. Thanks.
We used a credit card to fax info to a hotel in Palm Spings, then a couple days later charges for theVZWRLSS*ECARS behan showing up, but my bank recognized them as fraud and contacted me. The theifs also tried to buy pizza from two places in Palm Springs and I thing gas too, but my bank had already caught on and the charges were (luckily) declined. I see someone else here was in Southern California. It would be interesting to know if other people who posted here were also from or in SoCal when this happened to them.
