saw your note.... no luck all in the fraud dept's hands. Canceled cards...possible was from one of those banks that said customers personal info was stolen. This is a prepaid service and they use your card to get the prepaid amount ... never received a call...who would give their card over the phone any who... I'm pretty sure they got it from online banking of that card or company that you use your card....can't think off hand which bank it was...i know one was bank of america ..i'm thinking the other was ge money bank...ring a bell?

Was this activity shortly after an ATM transaction? The reason I am asking is I have the same problem within 48 hours of an ATM transaction in New Mexico which wa a legit transaction. But I am beginning to think that somehow the data needed is being stolen through ATM usage.

Verizon's FRAUD dept WIIL notify your bank the phone number the money was assigned to if in fact the funds were placed on a prepaid phone or something. I just spoke with VERIZON customer service regarding the same issue with my debit card. Verizon# (800) 256-4646

Your right!!!How come this con hasn't been stopped by verizon wireless ...there are so many people getting duped. I'm going to the attorney general with this one verizon should be held accountable (just see the google for vzwrlss*ecars ot), i'm sure they could close this prepaid service name or have some kind of better authenticy to stop this madness!!!

Same damn thing happened to me this morning. Vzwrlss prepaid ot wouldn't even talk to me cause I didn't have a cell phone number. I don't even own a cell phone.

I keep getting text msgs from this number on my cell telling me about a srvc deal that is too good to pass up. But, thankfully I googled the number they are telling me to call, and this came up. People are such scammers!!

It is fraud! I called and found out it was my debit card. unless you have fraud protection on your card....don't use it online...time to go back to the postage stamp and check...at least the postal workers will have work again. We rely on online too much. No, i'm not a verizon or a postal worker, just one that got charged by verizon's prepaid service too. Had to do fraud claim with bank and verizon and shut down that card number. Sickening that we are smarter than these companies and found out it was a fraud and fighting it, who's working in their fraud dept, non googlers.

My debit card had been compromised. One of the items was a charge from VZWRLSS*PREPAID OT 888-294-6804 dated 10/15/10 $272.19. Immediately canceled my card. Went to my bank and filed a fraud report. If this happens to you act very quickly.

I happened to be reviewing my cc statements for the year and noticed two charges from VZWRLSS-IVR VN FOLSOM CA. They totaled about $450. No one in my family has recollection of making such purchases or phone calls or anything that would entail such costs. I phoned my cc company and they are investigating and in the meantime have credited my account.
