Yeah, I just got a call from this number... about my onpoint community credit union account. I have no bank account and no debt... definitely not me and has toi be a scam.

Not a scam-my credit union uses them to catch suspicious charges and they did.

This is a valid #. They called me this morning to let me know that someone got hold of my card # and they where trying to make purchases totaling close to a thousand dollars. They were in Spain, go figure I am in the good ole USA! The security person then cancelled my card. And the charges where not approved. Only asked me security questions, no card # question asked of me.I then called my credit union to tell them. They did see the bogus charges that the scammers where trying to charge and that the security company told me about. The card was canceled.You do know that this is a business for these scums, they sit around all day trying to come up with a new scams. Of course they are low lives.

Oh, also they never asked me any personal info and the women spoke English with no accent.

I called the number on the back of my debit card because I was afraid that it was a fraudulent call. When I told them the number left on my CID, they said it was the number to their security center. 1(888)918-7313 was the next number that they transferred me to. They were helpful and courteous. They represent not only my credit union but many others. I encourage everyone to check their account transactions at least once a day! Also report your card lost immediately if you have misplaced it. I did and I prevented someone from getting a free ride off of my card! My bank even waived the card replacement fee because I called in the nick of time!

Received a call from this number shortly after having a large purchase declined on a VISA attached to my credit union account on a card that had a lot of credit available. Verified with the credit union that this is a valid call from a fraud protection company tied to the credit union. THIS IS NOT A SCAM NUMBER, NOR IS IT A COLLECTION AGENCY! You should call this number if you receive a message and a case number from them to ensure that someone is not stealing your identity or your card information.

company is legit. no worries. they were just trying to verify activity on my account.

Talking to ABECU this was legit and their was fraud on our card.

Well thanks to this website I called it back assuming it was fraud and gave them an earful. Low and behold they are legitimate and were calling to let me know they blocked my card due to fraudulent charges up and down the east coast (I live in st. louis) best advice: call the number on the back of your card and undoubtedly they are going to transfer you back to these folks. Haha, they transferred me right back to poor Amanda who I spoke with first.

Totally legitimate. Totally professional. Got a call this morning that I didn't answer because of the area code (888) and the caller ID name of "toll free caller". After checking here and being assured they were legitimate, I called the number and found out that there had been two attempts to use my debit card number in Annapolis MD, which is about a thousand miles from my house. They also verified a number of earlier legitimate charges, with full details, I had made going all the way back to the beginning of the month. A scam artist would not know those things.They will only ask you the type of questions needed to verify that you are the legitimate card holder - such as your name and the last four digits of your SSN. If you're paranoid, they'll prompt you with partial answers and let you fill in the blanks.Unfortunately, the two fraud attempts on my card means they had to shut down the card because the number is now in the wild. So now I have to go to the Credit Union, apply for a replacement, then wait for it to arrive in the mail. Inconvenient, but better than being stuck with fraudulent charges.
