So you're saying if someone was trying to pay the bills it'd be perfectly acceptable for them to break the law and become say a mafia hitman?Sorry, but they CHOOSE to work in a reviled industry and they CHOOSE to act that way. Therefore they are responsible for their actions just as much as the debtors are for their debts.The fact remains is that once a bill goes to collections it's already been written off by the company. They sell the debt for pennies on the dollar to these scum. Remember to get their tax information and the tax information for the company on which they are collecting for. This way you can take this information and tell Canada Revenue about your payment to them so that they can be investigated for Tax Evasion and such as most money coming through collections is never claimed so they're stealing from the pockets of the government and forcing our taxes up.

AND REGARDLESS OF WEATHER THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR HAS SOLD YOUR ACCOUNT OR WRITTEN IT OFF, YOU STILL HAVE TAKEN THE MONEY AND HAVE TO PAY IT BACK TO ET YOUR CREDIT FIXED AND MOST OF THESE COMPANIES WILL REPORT TO EQUIFAX OR TRANSUNION...THE 2 MAJOR CREDIT BUREAU HERE IN CANADA...

well if they having their job threatened is not my problem, they are calling me everyday and night for more than one year but i never answer them, but now they call me once a week because i left a f***in bad message to them and when they call me i play porno movie and i let them to listen to the moan of the lady lol well they dont respect me i give them a [***] lol

These companies act illegally, and they harass and use rude and threatening language (which is illegal) in order to collect. I feel sorry for small minded morons like you who belittle others to make yourself and your pithy job feel more than what you and it actually are. You are a peon working within a scourge-of-the-earth industry that preys on people, whose only prerequisite is below-level intelligence (and probably a failing grade in a police-foundations course or some other wannabe authority hardon you've got but couldn't quite land)and are unable to understand that people most often do not commit fraud or behave irresponsibly to get into debt, and that often, serious illness, life setback, and other circumstance outside of the debtor's control are responsible. Hey Everyone..It seems that people have their own opinions when it comes to Bill Collectors.. I was a Bill collector for 12 yrs..And a damn good one.... and ya sure.. I too saw a side of people where they cant pay their debts. Don't let any Bill Collector tell you that you are stealing just because you cant pay your debt. You know what? People come to a point in their lives where they fall upon some bad luck.. it happens.. But at least call the agency back... work something out with them.. let them know your situation at least.. Those bill collectors that sit there and say debtors lie steal and cheat.. you know what? Ignore them... They are the ones that let their jobs become their lives...they are the ones who have no class if they can sit there and call you every name in the book....Everyone has their own story... you are the ones living with the truth or the lie, whatever it may be. Just dont ignore the debt.. take care of it by at least making contact with the collector... Because the trace dept will find you, and that collector will continue to call you. They want their commission..

I just got called by this number looking for my ex-husband. 'Sean Morrison' harassed me and threatened me and accused me of hiding my ex and that I would be in trouble and dragged through the mud. I would not give personal information to him and he made himself sound like a revenue canada agent. He kept stating that the call was being recorded. If I had known this was a collection agent I would have just hung up when he started being aggressive.

This little paranoid punk (not even old enough to be finished school) just called me from 905-715-7399 and asked for some guy named Robert.. blabahblah... I told him I don't know who that is. My name doesn't even sound like his. Who know maybe this Robert guy used to have my phone number (obviously) or just gives out random numbers to who he owes his debt becasue I've never even heard of the man. Anyways... the reason why I'm calling this kid a punk is because he's got a snrakey attitude way out of place. Being rude and harassing me - accusing me of "hiding" this Robert fellow... He goes... "Why are you hiding him"... (he almost started crying)... I told him to come over here and be rude to my face... then he started getting "smart", just a like a little punk would. I am quite concerned about his paranoia most of all... he actually believed I was this Robert fellow.. I told him to work on his senses... he didn't like that. Then he wanted to further the conversation (and waste my work day) so we could talk about how old he was and how old I was (that was because I called him "kid" and he wanted to know how I knew he was a kid)... I told him I could tell by his "little softy" voice (but I knew because the young man was just dumb (but in reality paranoid).. He wasn't going to get off the phone so easy.. told me he could spend the whole day on the phone.. I said oh yeah... Told him he was an idiot and his boss would find out how dumb he was because I was recording the conversation and was going to make a youtube video so his boss would know how dumb he really was. Well he seemed to be quite scared of his boss (apparently named Christopher Walker.. yeah I called back and confirmed) because he wanted to get off the phone all of a sudden and not even I could keep him on the phone... Yeah so when I called back I spoke to a receptionist.. who was also very rude..I told her I was recording the conversation and and her acknowledge that the company in which she works for was harassing me ... I also made her aware that her attitude stems from her bosses attitude and apologized that she had to work for such a shady company... I suggest these people find jobs that can provide them a little bit more happiness and and stop harassing people... not a bunch of very educated folks... Not good business Christopher... try to think of ways not to waste your time and others while you're at it.
