Yeah sure I agree, people should pay their debts - but did you know that companies do all the same things that you listed to people...BUT WORSE.. Also unless the collector actually knows who they're calling, they should NOT assume it's the person they're looking for and start being rude to them.. no matter what.. those scare tactics don't work. Maybe for a few years they did, but people are too smart now. If you are dealing with someone who is the type of debtor who doesn't care about paying their bill.. you think threatening them is going to scare them... please!! Business owners and workers are what keep the economy going you babbledorf... Not debt collectors.
