I did the same as you did they quite taking my calls.

Keep getting calls from Atlas Recovery for my son. Told them he didn't live her and I wouldn't pass any message on to him. Also told them to quit calling us. So far they've called four more times so I filed a complaint with out states AG and the FTC. It's only been a few days since I filed the complaints but the calls keep coming. At least we have caller ID and the phone also records the caller's name, phone number, time and date even if I don't pick the call up so I have a record.

they called looking for someone who has my maiden name. I told them I don't know who they are looking for, they hung up on me! I called back. They were really rude, unprofessional & discourteous.

They called me today. And gave the recorded spiel. Since this is a new number for me, and it sounded so urgent. I thought it odd that they were talking to me, and that if it was so imperative, why didn't they talk rather than harangue. I called back. They told me about the name they wanted...and asked me if ....... was my name, I said yes. And that this is a new number.Surprised someone answered on the call back. I'm aware now! And will not respond. Scary! These people need to get a life!

This so called company contacted me stating what others have written. As I filed for bankruptcy last year and case heard and declared bankrupt, I found this call highly offensive. I in turn have contacted the State Attorney General of Ohio and will report this fraudulent company to the Federal Business Bureau. I have informed the company "voicemail" to not call again and that such calls will be considered harassment. If there call was sincere, I am certain they would have sent me written notification of which I have received nothing. I informed them of this but did not leave address.

Actually princess, many of these people being harassed OWE NOTHING. Some of these companies buy the collections from other companies. Many of the companies sell the collection even after it has been paid, therefore, leaving the person that has already settled a debt to be called again to collect by another company. And while you want to talk down to the people that DO have debt, you JUST SAID YOU HAD DEBT AND WERE GETTING CALLS FROM COLLECTORS AS WELL. ... Duh
