I am in Washington, DC, and I just received a call from this number at 12:05 on 8/15/07. Same thing: it was barely half of a ring.

I had a missed call from them on 1/17/2008. I tried calling the number back and it says the number has been disconnected.

Got the same 1 ring. No messag nothing. Off late, such phone calls have increased a lot !! There is one other phone number which starts with: 203-I got nearly 20 calls from that stupid number, it rings for 3 to 4 times and ends. I tried to call both of these numbers, and looked like they are fake.Dont know what the persons who are doing this are upto.

just got the call on my google voice number. creepy to read this has been going on for years. kind of feel raped

Just got this call at my company in Ohio. I am only guessing, but it may be a program that harvests phone numbers from web sites and is checking for a ring tone to validate them. It's no big technical achievement to spoof a caller ID, but troubling that they have always been using the same fake name, showing dubious pride in their prosaic efforts and no sense of humor. Hope you're reading this, phone phreak melon heads. If you have a VoIP phone, you probably have the built-in ability to block (a.k.a. filter) specific numbers and reflect various conditions to the caller, like always busy, go to voicemail, etc.. I set the filter for this one to respond as if my number is out of service. Hope this helps.

One ring and gone. Caller Id left number and name: KUSHNER COMPI agree that it probably is harvesting numbers off websites (mine is a business) and verifying valid numbers

When I get numbers on the cell I don't walk, I put the number in memory and give it a no-ring ring tone attached.

I just got a call at work from this number as well. Rang one time.
