They all everyday no messages I have called back I get no where I leave messages for them I email them and nothing and they call my cell phone at least 4 times per day when I answer they hang up. I contacted my cell phone company and they said they can not do anything about it because its a unavailable number and I told them I dispute the charges. They are a real pain in the butt!!!!!!!!
i recently started receiving phone calls from these ppl, not accepting them, of course. its for a student loan thru sallie mae. they do not have lawyers in my state, so i dont see what they can do to me.and ill be damned if il let them garnish my wages and not have it put towards my loan, if they should do that, ill sue them, and see how they like it
This number called me several times a day for a couple weeks, then they stopped. They have once again started calling, numerous times a day, many while I am at work. When I answer, no one speaks on the other end. If I let it go to voice mail, they don't leave a message. I figure if they want me to call back, they will leave a message. Regardless, the only money I owe is my mortgage and a student loan, which I pay every month.
These loons have been calling me day and night for WEEKS. I dunno about Amex (I can't afford their credit cards haha), but I do have some defaulted student loans from the harpy known as Sallie Mae (who is in SO much crap from the government right now, they're panicking and it's hilarious!). All of my other debts are being paid slowly but surely, and their creditors are working patiently with me, even it's only $20 at a time. So I have NO clue what money they think I "owe" them. But I've gotten to the point with harassing phone calls that I've started getting mean right back. Isn't it funny how legit companies like NCO Financial will take my tiny payments and give me a pat on the head on my credit report, but scum like Sallie Mae has henchmen to harass you day and night? So I'm relaxing tonight, finally a night off (I work overnight), and the phone rings. It's this number -again-. I decide to answer it. Silence. More silence. "Hello? Helloooooo?"Finally,: "Yes, is this Sheeshawna?" (Can't say my name? Now I really don't wanna talk to you.)Me: "Who's this please?""This is Mr. Wilson." Very rude, very blunt."...Frooooom?" The number always shows up as No Name. "Zwicker and Associates Law Firm.""Ah, I see. You do realize that it's almost 9 o'clock, don't you?""So??""So unless you're a lawyer in Vegas, all other law firms close at 5. Good night!" -click-I'm not that dumb. I'm not going to give money to whatever nut calls in asking for it. I don't even do that to telemarketer "charity" programs. But I do know business hours and some basic laws. I live in a state where they can't garnish me, and I have no assets. I have no car, no home, and even my very modest engagement ring is just silver. They say they want to take me to court. I say go for it, babe. You can't be arrested for your debts, and unless they can prove I owe them money, they've got nothing, and all the people I honestly owe money to I'm working with directly. Not their henchmen. Should you be afraid? No. Nunzio and Guido can't do anything to you, especially over the phone. If you ask for paperwork, you'll never get it. If you ask for names, numbers and dates, you'll get mumbled answers and numbers that go in circles. You'll see fuzzy math. But all they can do is threaten and bully and pray that they scare you enough to get you to fork over your money. It's just like being mugged on a street corner, but over the phone. And your money will never go to the people they "represent" because of that fuzzy math. Should you be wary? Unquestionably. The best way to do this is to get a copy of your credit report, either online or from your banker. A good credit report will tell you who claims you owe them money, which companies have called in to say "good job! You pay your debts," even if it's a collections agency (not all of them are scum!). It will also tell you which collections agencies have looked in on your credit history and which ones are currently collecting from you, and the company they represent. Example, in college I was a dumb kid and ran up a small credit card. But I had no job and no money, so it defaulted. The bank that owned the account sold my file to NCO Collections, whom I make payments to to get it paid off. The credit report shows the bank and that their file on me closed, and that NCO collects from me to pay the bank back. See? Not so scary or hard as it seems. But look through carefully and you'll find nothing from this bogus attorney firm. So now that you're armed with the truth, remember that they are scum and will play dirty, so if you have assets, protect them. Is your car paid for? Are you the only one listed on your home's title? What are your state's laws on garnishing wages? These are important things to inform yourself about. If after looking on your credit report you find nothing to link you to them, ask your banker or family lawyer what is the best way to get them to leave you alone or to defend yourself from them. Not all problems will go away if you ignore them. But in those cases, arming yourself with the truth and being prepared for a fight will usually carry you through a lot better than it will them. Good luck and remember, don't be afraid!
Hey, does anyone know what the P.C. stands for? Does it somehow designate them as either a law firm or a collection agency? Also, do they purchase AMEX debt, or are they simply collecting on their behalf? Thanks.
No call details, this #(978-686-2255) f-ing calls me all hours day & night, leaves no message! I have NO accoumts in any collections or whatever, who knows HOW they got my cell ph #, beehatches. Tried to call them & tell them they never answer & hang up when I try to pick up my phone. WTF????!!!
It stands for "professional corporation". (In some states it's PA, which stands for "professional association.")These are just designations which indicate how the company organized and registered itself with the state in order to conduct business. Some businesses organize as a partnership or a sole proprietorship or a limited liability company (LLC) or a corporation (inc.) People in degreed professions such as lawyers, doctors, architects, and engineers often choose to organize their business as a PA or a PC.
