Looked up # on NPA NXX db and said it was a cell # from Mt Pleasant, IA. Message was automated for credit card offer - didn't press "1" to speak to rep, obviously a spam call....
I just received the same illegal robocall from "card services" stating that they sent me "several notices" (not) and that this was my "last opportunity" to lower my credit card interest rates. If only!!!The 989 area code is in Michigan (not Iowa). However, these telemarketing scammers may not actually be in Michigan. It is quite possible (and probable) that they are spoofing their Caller ID number, making it harder for them to be caught.All we can do is add them to our phone books as SPAM or DO NOT ANSWER. Some phones will even allow you to block numbers like these so you don't even have to listen to the phone ringing.The other thing we can do is to file a complaint with www.donotcall.gov each and every time we receive a call like this. Maybe one day SOON they will be able to find these crooks and shut them down.

I called Frontiers official phone number 1-800-921-8105, the agent I spoke to gave me this scammer number, they pretend to be frontier and offer a rebate and ask you to provide your bank account info to “send” the rebate. I hung up
