My wife also got the same text about a half hour before me, but the web site and dollar amount were different. We both use the same mobile carrier. Telus has admitted that in the past hackers have broken in and spammed a large number of customers.
It's also started today, April 14, but it's the third time in 2 hours this person or other is calling. 1-999-999-9999 ???????? What it's mean?? I don't know. What can I do??
I keep getting calls from this number 701-625-5806. When I answer, there is silence and then I am hung up on after exactly 6 seconds each time. It calls me almost every day. It is SO annoying! And if I call back a missed call, it says "Thank you for calling back..." and then says if you don't want to be informed about their special offers you can press "1" to be put on a do-not-call list... But I have done this a few times before, and they NEVER stop calling!
Every so often we get a call like this but never answer. Let them eat static. We have caller ID and whenever a call comes in that to us is suspicious we don't answer. If its really someone looking to get us and its that important usually a messgae is left.

Just got one on my cell phone. I didn't know the number so I didn't answer. No voicemail left. I don't use Blockbuster, so I doubt it was them.
This number called us 3 times at 4:30 and 4:32 and at 4:35 am and they were loud noises on or answering machine that made no sense at all. very annoying.
i got a call from tht number yesterday when i was with my friend madison and i had went into her room to get my jacket nd her fone just started ringing nd i was like wtf bc it was thaat number. it called twice! the second time i answered it, it was my friend calling me on my friends cell fone. he said it was from his ipod but his ipod number was different. does anyone know what that is suppose to mean?

Calls once or twice per week with voice msg "Brandon from CTS" call me back. WTF is CTS? No context, no real msg.
Phone number calls multiple times a day, once someone from my office picks up, it is dead silence on the other line. When you try to call back, it is a number that is not in service.

Shoplc. I don’t mind them calling if I have a problem but they called me 3 times in past 3 days to fill out survey they emailed. If I wanted to fill it out, I would have, I don’t need calls, plus I did fill one out but am still getting calls.

Got a letter that said I applied for an AMAZON card. Called the number to inquire what this was for, they started asking for personal information. When I said no they hung up on me.

Scam debit collector. I say 'scam' because I don't have a credit card, loan, lease, tuition, or debit or any kind. I own my home, vehicle, and everything in them. There's not a single reason for a debit collector to be calling me.
