Just to let everyone know if you are having problems with Dentpr, the customer service number to cancel is 1-800-219-9889. They are a part of United Marketing Group which handle many different companies. They were very polite and I had no problem cancelling my membership.Thank you.
A call from someone at the Veteran's Adminisration said to call them back at 800-982-3844. When I dial that number a recording says for a charge of $5.49 to dial 10-15-15-8000 . . .

3/18/11 I received a call from 800-950-6227, "800 Service", about 1:46PM EST. I had been receiving calls from this number for some time now. When I answered an automated voice stated that this was the State of Michigan and they needed to get ahold of Fred __ ___________ (my name). It was important that I contact them ASAP and to call 800-950-6226 and reference #S296100. I then called that number and was told to call their new national number 101-515-8000. Instead, I called the original number back and it identified itself as "State of Michigan" (?) and I was put on hold for about 10 mins. Finally, a man answered who identified himself as Mr. Pope and asked me for my middle name and birthday. He then stated that I was the wrong person because the person they were looking for had a different birthday and hung up. Has anyone else had calls similar to this?
I just called "Privacy Matters 123 Membership" because I was having problems accessing my account, so when I called their general number, I was told by a recording that I could get their new number by calling 1015158000. I called my membership number again and got the same recording, so I called the other number and it stated that I have reached a "National Registry". I immediately hung up, however, probably too late. Tried to call my phone company, but they are closed. I also consider myself, pretty smart on things like this, and I wait until I'm, 55 years old to get scammed. Of course, my phone company is closed for the evening, so I can't notify anyone, but I will be on the phone in the a.m and with my bank as well.
A young man named Jose Sanchez called and said (verbatim)"Um, yeah, I'm calling about your um,uh, home loan, please call me back at 18005953575" and then I heard giggling, something incoherent, and more laughter from a woman. I have recieved calls on 1/14/08 at 9:55 am and 10:02 am. I called the number from my cell originally when checking messages and it asked that I pressed Y and offered me a 9.99 charge for a new international directory. I have no use for these calls or this phony service.
My mother just got a call, said "This is Dave at FirstMerit with an urgent call. You need to call us back IMMEDIATELY. Please respond by 8PM at 1-800-720-5859." My mother is very hard of hearing, so I called. It said (talking very quickly) for a charge of 4.95 you may call 10-15-15-8000 for the new national directory assistance service. Mentioned they were in Nevada and gave the number 702-555-1212. Also mentioned calling10 and gave the website www.calling10.com and said if there were problems to contact service@calling10.com. She went to her bank and they are investigating. I hope they find this/these scumbag/s!
I noticed a toll call on my bill to 1015158000 which I did not make, nor ask for directory assistance, to the fee of $5.49 and $1.65, respectively. Kindly correct this as soon as possible. Natalie Meyer
I too was billed for a directory service call from ILD 10 15 15 8000. It was supposed to have taken place on Feb. 4, 2009 at 8:15pm. At that time my husband and I were sitting in the dark, without power, living through the worst ice storm we had ever known. No way were either of us using directory assistance, or paying $7.00 for it. No one would ever use this number, everyone either dials zero or 411. They were nice enough to remove the credit the charge after I refused to give them my address for the check they first offered to send. AT & T offered to place claim on my bill for 90 days until the credit was applied to the bill. My bill was reduced and I did not have to pay for the charge. I did not want any of my money going to that company.
