123-456-7890 / 1234567890

Received a call from 1-123-456-7890 while I was away from home..Seems strange for a call like that since the 123 of the number is supposed to be an area code and as far as my research shows, there isn't a place with a 123 area code.Even if I was home when receiving that call I know I wouldn't have answered it since I never knew who it was....and also, If I don't know who is calling I never answer anyways.

When your phone asks the person calling , what their number is this is what they put in to get your phone to ring......It is just a made up number to get them through....

So according to what WikiAnswers is saying, this number can be anyone using a PC dialer via Skype. I would say that it most cases it's probably a scam or bill collector or telemarketer wanting to hide their real number. Or maybe it saves them money on long distance calling overseas. But I have also heard that it's common among people in the armed forces calling from overseas to use Skype. So if that's the case for anyone's friends or family, it could be them. But then again, I would think one might know if they're expecting a call from someone they know overseas.

i am on bell canada as well and get calls from 123-456-7890 and 000-000-0000 as well as 407-999-9999

Just received this call in sask.canada and they just hung up when I answered.

They called about our comp

I had the same number come up early this morning, some woman with a heavy accent asking about my computer and the Windows system. If you Google that scam, they want access to your info. They must use this number for various telemarketing scams.

I never picked up, but it is the third day this week this number calls. All at different time of day.

for us this number was Sears Canada

Just got a call from them too a few days ago.I guess the telephone system is hacked. Serious repercussions too, people might trust CLID services.
