I just recieved a call from 123-456-789 and it was an automated message asking me to confirm my credit card information....it is obvious that its a scam...just watch out for weird numbers and dont answer or press any keys when asked to....
No information here...but like everyone, I received a call from this number. I am sooooooooo thankful for Caller ID and so very thankful for sites like this.It is a little spooky getting a call from such a bizarre number. Laughed when I read submitters wondering if it was the devil. I didn't answer. I knew it wasn't anyone friendly.I bet the first call is to verify someone answers, then the later calls are the scam artists they sell the numbers to.I thought it was only email to worry about, but now they phone me...WTF.Just don't answer it...it is no one friendly.
well, this time, this number called me. listed as: v03082228090010. when i answered, all i heard was an eerie woman's scream.. then i hung up. i got scared.
Okay guys...let me explain - country code: 1 is for USA and other American states and also CANADAarea code: 234 not sure which area that is....you people from your area check it out.Number: 567890So, solves your problems!!!
I did some further checking regarding these bozos. As a previous entry indicated, the calls appear to be originating from Winston-Salem North Carolina. However to find out more info, you have to pay about 10 bucks to a website signed to "Intellius". I also sent in an e-mail complaint to the Manitoba Telephone System. They are aware of these calls, and although pesty, they are not illegal. In fact the MTS person who answered my complaint had also received a number of these stupid calls. MTS also made a number of suggestions to reduce and hopefully eliminate these kinds of calls.1. If in Canada, contact the Canadian Marketing Association and ask that your name be place on the "do not call list." Their website address is "www.the-cma.org".2. Contact your local Better Business Bureau. In Manitoba the website address is www.manitoba.bbb.org3.If in Canada, e-mail to the Canadian Consumer Association at "info@consumer.ca"4. If in Manitoba contact MTS at their website "www.mts.ca".For different provinces or complaints from the U.S., similarly taskedagencies are likely available.I hope that the foregoing helps.
I agree....these people may be masterminds for the dumb but not for us..haha!!!Just watch out guys!!! A while ago it was on cell phones now our land lines.
