THEY ARE NOT MEDCO BEWARE THEY DO NOT KNOW ANY OTHER PERSONLA INFO IF YOU ASK THEM. MEDCO SHOULD BE ABLE TO ANSWER YOUR EMPLOYERS NAME
Privacy laws do not preclude them from leaving messages on answering machines. All those laws are for is to keep them form releasing sensitive information without your permission. They would be just fine, legally, and so much more customer friendly if they would leave a message saying something like, "This is Medco calling for XXX XXX. Please have XXX XXX call us back at xxx-xxx-xxxx." That does not release any sensitive information, and lets the called know who is calling. Also, someone who receives such a message and knows who Medco is, would be more likely to call them back either to talk to them or to let them know that they are calling a wrong number. But, not leaving a message ensures that they do not get an answer or a call back from the majority of people.
Yes this is a medco/express-scripts caller. This is not fake but yes you do choose how to be contacted and occasionally mistakes do happen!
OMG! I started getting these annoying calls yesterday. Apparently there is no way to get them to stop! I'm going to try and block this number through Comcast...will let you know if it works...check your provider to determine if you can block certain numbers.
Caller-ID showed as "Unknown Name". I was expecting a call from someone else so I went ahead and answered the phone. The person CLAIMED they were "ExpressScripts" but when they asked me to give them my date of birth I refused and sold them why...that their number showed as "Unknown Name"...so I wanted proof that they were who they said they were. The caller then hurriedly wished me a nice day and hung up. So a crook or what?
Have calls on my caller ID almost daily and they have been going on for months. Sometimes several times during the day while I am at work. They called yesterday during dinner and asked for me and when I said "speaking" no one said another thing. Getting really old!!!!
I just received a call from this #. I let the answering machine pickup the call. The caller didn't leave a message. United Healthcare (hubby's work insurance) sends Medco junk to use all the time wanting us to get our prescriptions through Medco. I don't know what it is they think they're going to accomplish by harassing people to no end. I've already been forced by UHC to get my most expensive immunosuppressive medication (for kidney transplant) through Prescription Solutions. It's all a big pain in the butt. My hubby and I take a lot of different meds. and they're not all filled on the same day of the month. I couldn't imagine having to be at home twice a week every week waiting for UPS to deliver medicine.Okay, that was a rant about UHC. lol I don't answer the phone if I don't know who's calling.
I picked up the phone, said, "Hello". A female, rather docile, soft-spoken voice repeated after me, "Hello? Hello?" (two times). I answered, "Yes?" She hung up.
