The past two days have been receiving calls from 201-891-1029 which shows are MEDCO on caller id. I called back and asked to be removed from their list and was told they can't because I wouldn't answer personal questions. SCAM I believe be careful.I called this morning at 4:45am ET and spoke to a live person very fishy.
I have received calls from 201-891-1029 with no messages on my cell phone and at my place of business for the past two weeks. Last week I picked up a call that was allegedly from Medco. The woman that called me mispronounced my name several times and had an accent so heavy that I could not understand her. I got aggravated and hung up. It is interesting that the reference to Medco and a person with a heavy accent would come up in this forum when I typed in the phone number that has been bugging me for the past 2 weeks. They need to be put out of business........whoever they are. It sounds like this has been going on with this number since 2009.
The [***] at Medco can't figure out where to send my work / insurance mandated long term medicine. It's as simple as that. I use two addresses for particular delivery purposes. The first address is a post office box for dry or non-temperature sensitive meds. The second address is specifically for UPS overnight delivery of temperature controlled meds such as insulin or glucometer sticks that should not be exposed to other than room temperatures. Well..........it appears that the brainiacs at Medco cannot figure out which meds are temp sensitive and which are not. After spending the excessive and inordinate amount of time to order ONNLINE via a multitude of passwords and slow Medco computer servers complete with email verification of the order, I receive a telephone call two days later stating that my order cannot be processed without verification of my shipping address. What in the hell do those folks think I spent so much time online doing two days previous? I ordered the meds and verified my shipping address at that point in time. What happened to that information? Was it tossed into cyberspace? I mean, what's the point in going through all the trouble to access my account online.......give med ID numbers........verify shipping addresses.......and every other little stinking detail they make you do online in order to accept a prescription renewal.......when two days (48 hours) that the prescription should have been enroute later this stinking Sunday morning wake up call wants me to verify information that they already have????? Is Medco living up to my expectations of delivering life sustaining meds for my family when they can't even handle a order and process it safely? I think not. I'd rather order my meds from my local pharmacy. But, NOOooooooo. Medco makes me order them three months at a time and blames it on my employer's insurance contract. It's stupid and irritates the pure hell out of me. But, if anyone reads this and sympathizes with my plight, enjoy the fact that we're in this together and misery loves company!
I just called the number and it answers "Express Scripts" which is now teamed with Medco (Mail Order Prescriptions)
"Michael" from "Medco account receivables" - 201-891-1029 - on some bogus order. The number they supposedly call from is busy when you call back and the toll free number they leave 800-517-6043 is a fax.
caller said she was with medco and wanted date of birth to verify prescription we told her we don't give out any personal information. Person (scam artist) immediately terminated call.
The called me on a Saturday morning on my cell phone. The Do Not Call list is useless as there are so many loopholes for companies. (btw.. I do not use Medco)
I just got a call from 201-891-1029 and the woman left a message stating her name and that she is with Medco's accounts receivable calling about the recent prescription I had filed. So yeah, I'd say it's Medco.
This caller from Medco Pharmacy is a scam, he said he wanted to help me update my insurance info and ask me what was my Birthdate first. I told him I was not interested and hung up the phone. Be careful and do not give them no personal information about yourself.
