This is still happening, I guess, because I just received a call from "Medco" about a prescription. I had a hard time understanding her because the connection made her sound very, very far away and her accent was very, very hard to decipher. I said I would not give her my birthdate that she asked for. She said I could call Medco because there is a problem with a prescription. I do use Medco but I don't think I have any outstanding orders. She gave me a number to call 1-866-546-8145. I looked up the caller number first and read all these notes from a couple of years ago. Looks like the same thing, so I'm just going to let it go. Good luck y'all! cj
Same story -- I received "Medco" calls from the 866 # below and several from this 201-891-1029 -- which never has a person or leaves a message; My company uses/used Medco for prescriptions. I agree they know who I am and have no right to call and ask for personal info that was the 866# w/ the foreign accent lady -- I did not provide any info and am sick of these scams. Several have gotten my mother who has Alzheimer's. One was able to take $595/mo out of her checking account for several months.
Claims to be Medco. I don't use this company, but I have access to them. This is NOT Medco.
I received a call from this number and it was a woman who left a message. It is Medco, but the person they were looking for was not me. So they are not careful how they dial or do not listen to my message as it clearly states my name. Yeah, a company I might want to do business with
they called my husbands phone and asked for me. we dont use medco but are aware of it. thanx for all these posts. it really helped!!
I received a call from this number today and it showed up as "unknown" interestingly, just yesterday I conducted business with MEDCO for refilling some Rxs. I did it online and updated my profile with credit card # and other details. I went back to my cell phone call log and found that this number had called me also the day after my previous Rx refill, which required me to go online and request a refill. I suspect someone at MEDCO has been stealing policy holder's data for what ever scheme they are conducting. Anyone with a legitimate business is not going to hide their caller ID identity. I am thinking of contacting MEDCO and providing them with a print out of this site because as I read below this goes back to 2009. Its a shame that MEDCO doesn't have in place safeguards to prevent sensitive customer data to stolen from their data bank which includes no other than social security numbers, date of birth and everything an identity thief would need to take on someone's identity.
They keep calling, I don't answer anymore, same deal with Medco. Since they seem to be using the same phone number all the time, why can't Medco (will the real one please stand up?) do something about it?Really annoying!
I got my call from this number after 9 pm! What's up with this? This is unprofessional for any company!
