I'm thinking about getting a canned air horn and the next time someone calls from this number I'll just set that off in the phone. That should cure them of calling people that they don't know over and over again.
DITTO..... in my contact list as MEDCO SCAM.Calls every week, no message, always calls twice on the same day. Apparent automated, since same time of the hour 2-3 hours appart. They dont know me and I dont want to know them. Isnt there a switch to turn them off? They should at least leave a message. Then people who are interested would respond and save them time of harrasing everone over and over.... ha ha how dumb can they be?
got a call from this # guy left a message saying to call him regarding my outstanding balance. I do use Medco however do not have an outstanding balance. Talked to a supervisor at Medco who assured me it was not them and to not give any personal info out...duh...any who just seems like soemone trying to fish for some personal information. Called the # back and I continuously get a busy signal.
This is Medco. Just call the number back to see for yourself. The Privacy Act prevents them from leaving messages on answering machines.
I answered this call, then I hung up after 2 seconds, as is my practice when there is no name in the caller ID slot, and I don't recognize the number. This saves space on my digital answering machine. No risk, quick and clean.
It IS Medco, and it IS legit. They have your address, but likely your doctor submitted a prescription, and they need to confirm where you want it sent. They're not going to assume that it should go to the address they have on file, because that's not always the case.
This number has called us for the past 4 days, at least three times a day. They claim they're calling for my husband, but when he picks up the phone, they hang up on him. When I answer the phone, they try to pump for info about him and don't tell me why they're calling for him. I've told them multiple times that we're not interested and to lose our phone number before I file a report b/c we're on the Do Not Call list. They still have not stopped.
The call is from Medco, and it's completely legit. If they ask for your address, they're trying to confirm that's where you want your prescription shipped. BTW, the "Call Type" on this form needs an "Other" option.
