This is Amazon's verification department. They call whenever an order is suspicious.

This is a scam. This happened because I purchased protection for my device from a third party and that third party sold my information. I know this because my Amazon account was inactive for 9 months, I purchase something and then I get a call. They knew what I had purchased, they knew my phone number, and email address. The protection was from Assurant.

Didn't answer the call but did a search here right after. Some people here said it was Amazon so I contacted Amazon customer service who I know quite well. Amazon says it was ABSOLUTELY NOT them calling. Amazon said they NEVER call for ANY reason. So, this is a scam it would appear.

To be fair, they always say that it's not them, even when it is. Had my account compromised some weeks ago and they deny having sent any communications to me about it, even tho they did.

This is not a Amazon number. Confirmed this with Amazon. Do not give them any info.

Amazon says this is not one of their numbers. Confirmed this with both a customers service rep on the phone and with their Amazon Helps Twitter account.

Literally made an order and they called 5, min later . From Washington . Didn't answer hoe would they get my number so fast ?

These guys are still pretending to be Amazon, 3 full years after the earliest complaint here. They claim to be verifying a purchase for security reasons. Scary thing was, they knew a partial credit card number.

I just received a call from this # & also +91 80660 55000 15 min after I received my confirmation email. Contacted Amazon and notified them they have no clue who or how they would get info of my order.
