I let him go on and on for about 45 minutes, constantly telling him a fictitious story of what my screen showed. Knew he was a scam, but I figured the longer I kept him occupied the fewer calls he could make today. 45 minutes isn't bad, eh?

I received a call from a person with a foreign accent saying they are calling from Windows Technical support because they had received error messages from my computer. Gave me my IP and some Comuter Id. Told me to log on to show me where to cross refrence the 2 id's. then he asked me if I have team access and when I said no, he told me to type in an access code to allow him to remotely control my computer to show mw where the info was. When I told him I will not allow him to access my computer and asked for his number, he hung up.

Wednesday 11 March 2015 -- 11:27 am -- Caller ID said "unknown name". Caller left a short message of 3 or 4 words which sounded like another language, then hung up. Many internet complaints say this caller claims to be MS Windows tech support. Spam nuisance caller. Do not pick up.
I got a call from this guy as well, just a few minutes ago. He asked me to run the command "eventvwr". I said "okay, you bet!" and then hung up
Just got a call from this number. When I picked it up, it sounded like a robo-type call as when I answered, there was dead silence, but as I went to hang up, a man came on the phone and said, "hello?" and then proceeded to put me on hold to listen to elevator music. I hung up.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
