The best way is to not answer at all.....just ignore calls from numbers you don't recognize.
I got a call from 209-631-2059 from a lomeli Pablo , He said my computer had a virus and needed to be fixed .I told him I did not have a computer . THIS IS A BIG SCAM

Modesto area today - others with no number showing up for caller ID - but I do get at least 2-3 calls a month. Several different numbers actually for the same company, all with Indian/Pakistani accents which I know is a scam - Windows Microsoft technical - etc. calling to tell me something is wrong with my computer. This call however, is the first time I got a female voice. I have had these calls for a couple of years - once even having the caller cursing, using the F word... bcause I called him a liar. I thought it was kind of funny cause I know Windows nor Microsoft makes initial calls to users about malware, etc... so when I get these calls I just call them 'scammers' and they either try to argue with me or hang up. Want the scams to STOP - CAN YOU HELP? Or - I just continue to call it like I see it - scam!!!!
I HAVE ALSO GOTTEN CALLS FROM THIS AND OTHER NUMBERS. IF I STAY ON THE LINE LONG ENOUGH AND SOMONE COMES ON THE LINE, I TELL THEM THAT I AM "NOT" INTERESTED, I DID NOT CALL THEM, AND DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN. SOMETIMES THIS REDUCES THESE CALLS.
I got a call from these guys at my house a few months ago and just got a call from them about 5 minutes ago. They want to "fix" my computer and I love they're reaction when I tell them the computer stays turned off all day
Man w/ Indian accent told me there was an emergency with my computer and that he was getting messages that it had viruses. I hung up on him
called twice claiming to be windows technical support, Halfway through my sentence on telling him I did not contact tech support he hung up
Get these calls all the time from different parts of the Country. This time someone from California called advising me that there is something wrong with my computer. Told him: "I don't care!" Caller continues with your computer is going to crash! Again: "I don't care!" Caller said he would crash my computer!!! Told him "Go ahead M-F!!! Always the same voice but from all over the country

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.

Call identification states Rocket Mortgage. Never call back a call without checking number first. Never take the name on caller ID to be the true caller.
