This number listed as JUDY LEE keeps calling and hanging up. There's no message left on the machine, ever, and it's really annoying since we're not on the same time zone.
Incesant phone calls from "212-777-345", last number conveniently not showing up on my cell phone. I refuse to answer any unidentified number calling. If you aren't on my phone list already, I don't want to talk to you. I am registered on the DNC list, and as clearly stated by others here, they don't care and will continue to call anyway. Blatant disregard of the DNC list is made by numerous other spam scam solicitorial [***], so telling them to stop calling you does no good either. Answering your phone tells someone that they have reached an "active" number to barade with calls at all hours of the day/night. I am currently working on how to create an ear splitting high pitched computer noise to blare into the phone, should I feel the desire to answer said phone with said [***] mentioned above that call. Perhaps this will get the point across, or at least allow some vindictive amusement on my behalf.Other numbers to beware of: 702-218-7894, 660-866-5282, 201-340-1008, 201-340-1006, 201-340-1000, (obvious pattern there), 253-753-9030, 926-784-3255, 614-499-2360, 801-386-5750, 407-210-1515...
Also getting phone calls from (212) 777-345. I have received 13 phone calls and 1 text in the last 4 hours from that # and the #'s listed: (888) 311-6368, 222-663-2879, 888-599-1720, 877-397-6780, 650212777345, 401-648-7436, 966-328-7940, 0000000000 and the text was from 775-13 VIP Cash Mobile. All are trying to fish for info. All of the callers have been males with thick accents (most of them Indian accents)
To day I got a call from "Lee, judy (1-212-777-3456)" according to the called ID on my phone. I was reading some of the posts on this website and found that people all over the world are being called. I am from Honolulu, Hawaii. They told me that my computer was infected. I told them to stop calling and to take my number off "the list". It sounds like a scam because people all over are getting this call about infected computers. When in doubt don't give them any information and hang up.
Wrote yesterday that they called with a $1200 direct deposit. Thought I had heard the last of them. NOPE "Ben" (with an accent) called today for "up to a $1500 cash advance" and wanted to mail me an application. Told him I wasn't interested, he demanded to know why. I told him I was on the do not call list and that I never wanted to receive a call from his number again. Very beligerant and demanding. He hung up when I was explaining that from my research after their call yesterday they are the biggest scammer company I have found on 800 notes and other sites so far. I will be reporting this number.
I've been getting these call on my cell phone. The calls are not really coming from 212-777-3456. The callers are using a technique called "Caller ID spoofing". There is software available to allow people making calls (using VOIP) to spoof the number that shows up on the recipients Caller ID. Ironically, one of the companies that makes the software these people use to spoof also sells an unmasking service -- for a monthly fee, of course. The calls could be coming from the same caller or, more likely, many callers are using 212-777-3456 as their spoof number.Try searching the terms "caller ID spoofing" and you'll find out all about what these people are doing. There is legislation pending to make this practice illegal. Let's hope it passes and gets signed into law soon.
I have been getting calls twice per day, every day, for the last three weeks. I tried blocking 212-777-3456 using a free blocking service provided by my cell provider, Verizon, but blocking the number doesn't work because the calls aren't really coming from 212-777-3456. As noted in my previous post, the callers are using software to spoof the number that shows up in the Caller ID.
