I asked them to take my number off their call list and he flat out said no...He asked why and said cause i "f'n" don't want to be bothered with this and hung up... He has since called me back 7 times in one hour...saying i offended him with the 'f" bomb...my phone i can say as i please, but the calls won't stop and there is no number to call or manager to talk with...Very frustrating...I'm working on getting the number or numbers blocked...every time it is a different number..., but it is definitely the same guy...
Caller wanted serial number to copier, such an old scam. I hung up on him. He phoned back and called me a name that rhymes with stitch.
These [***] call my number repeatedly, every day. I have told them not to call, told them they are full of [***], told them I will report them to the proper agencies, filed complaints, all to no avail. "Do not call list"...RIGHT!!I'm on it too.
I just received a call today. Someone trying to tell me that my medicare card was no good. Then tried to get me to varify information. I hung up on him.
Claimed to be from the technical department at Windows and that there was a wiring problem with my computer. HA! Did not proceed further. Background noise and accent similar to "troubleshooter" above.
These people are obviously running a phishing scheme in an attempt to get personal information from people they call. They pose as different types of companies--pharmaceutical, sweepstakes, grant-application, etc.--but they all have one thing in common: they want you to verify your information, that is, give them your name, address, social security number, bank account info, and so forth. They employ caller ID spoofing, as others here have pointed out, to hide their true identity. It would not surprise me at all to learn that these people are based overseas and have a rather sophisticated system for identity theft.Whatever you do, don't give them any information. They're a criminal gang of sorts.

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.

Call identification states Rocket Mortgage. Never call back a call without checking number first. Never take the name on caller ID to be the true caller.
