I got such call on last august. I was initially apprehended but allowed them to fix my slow PC. But I didn't find anything wrong. I gave them my credit card details. But everything is ine till date. But my computer is running smoothly now & all my data are safe & secure. Therefore, I think they are not at all fraudstar.

like me you are probaly in the yellow/white pages...he is going through the book calling every1 and making an army of remote computers.....basically what mafiaboy did (google it if you dont know what he did)

They used a Trojan to infect PC. This enables them to look my PC remotely, and to alter files. They remotely disabled my virus killer. They rang me 3 days later.offering me there servises Knowing i had a virus .How did they get my number and how did they know i had a virus .As if i didnt know .they gave me there contact number it is 020 30513257 or 127 479 0000.What can we do to to put these scamming [***] down .

I keep getting calls from the 'Windows service centre'every couple of months or so, but being very cynical, have not actually fallen for their nonsense. Today someone called (Indian) and once again told me my computer was generating error reports. I was very curt with him, as usual, and asked what he was going to do about it-said he would fix it, so I said 'What-and charge me?' He replied 'No'. Anyway, I said if he wanted to discuss it further, he could ring back later and speak to my husband who is a computer technician-funnily enough,they never seem to do this! Next time they ring, I might just string them along for a laugh.Out of interest, I googled Windows Service Centre and had my suspicions confirmed by this site.Incidentally, my in-laws have had similar phonecalls, and they haven't even got a computer!

Hooray! Somebody who had them do the same as they did to me. Some people said I was wrong about the Trojan Traps, but I definitely know they set up a fake Youtube link about a car, posted on a car owner's site, to download a Trojan dropper that gave them access to my PC. It then went badly wrong and they phoned me using info from my emails the next day. They definitely had accessed my PC!They also diasabled my virus killer AND spyware killers. They appeared to be working perfectly ok, but they weren't and I had to reinstall them. They also seem to have people searching the net to lay traps in places people won't expect them, and to put up fake good reports about them wherever they are being exposed.If this wasn't in India they would all be in jail.

Just had a call from an Indian sounding person who wanted access to my computer as he said I had unwanted files. I quizzed him as to who he was and also asked him which computer the problem was on and he said the 'old one'. I refused to do what he asked and hung up. Needless to say there was no number recorded to return the call.

Just been called by the 'operating service centre for windows', an indian lady by the name of Sarah jane. Usual rubbish about surfing the Internet and viruses picked up. I asked her for my membership no. For the 'premier' service I was eligible to recieve and she ran for her supervisor, victor. The number he told me was 02033186362, claiming he was based in Nottinghamshire. He didn't mention anything about money but he didn't get anywhere as I refused to turn my computer on for him. He was most insistent and I stayed on the phone for 12 minutes asking him questions about my details (he couldn't answer) and the viruses in question (he couldn't answer). Not to be trusted.

Seems they have started again, Received a call same as above, said they were from Windows Service Centre but they withheld their number, so I'm only assuming it is the same as above because he was an Asian sounding person. I started to follow his instructions, but did not like the change messages which were appearing on my screen.Message on screen said Mark Henry technician was trying to help me.The guy I was speaking to said his name was John Abraham. I did not like the sound of this so I asked him to call back next day at 10.30. Fortunately I stopped following his instructions . I decided to Google Windows Service Centre and discovered the calls above. Needless to say I am still waiting for his call back

I to have just recieved a phone call from an asian or indian accented woman claiming to be from the windows service centre.She told me that they had recieved error reports from my computer and that I should go onto my computer and into my security settings so that she could help fix the problem.I told her I was on dialup and could I call her back later.She gave me a number to call 029 1916 5553.Dont know if this is a real number or not.She was quite persistant in telling me that I could still go on the computer even if I was on dial up and help me.I told her I did'nt trust her and hung up.

Had a call this morning same as previous posts, Indian sounding said he was from windows service centre and my computer was infected, to fix it I had to do the things he said, he asked me to press windows button and r (which I didn't do) then type, he said some letters which I can't remember, then click ok, when I asked him what it would do he said just click ok, when I asked what it would do again he started getting more pushy, I told him to call back later after I had called windows to check it was legit, that's when I looked online and found this site, I hope they call back so I can waste their time acting stupid before telling them to f**k off :)
