I keep getting this one too.. I don't answer it though. I figured if it was important they'd leave a mesage. No message thus far.

about the same thing happened and i strung along as well to a point he wanted me to hit the flag key and r at the same time and that prompted the run command ...he ask me what it said then wanted me to type in eventvwr do not do that ...then the cussing begin from me and then he let loose saying he hacked my pc and got all my money out of the bank cussed me and my wife and finally I hung up on him -they called about 5 more times like they didnt know where they waqs calling with the same message ....it is best say you don't have a computer-haang up....I think it was a vonage call but I dont know

2x a day, daily. No one is there. Auto dialer. Fix it!!

Oh, and I am also in Ontario, Canada.. seems like they are targeting this area now.

Got the call. Same story. Wanted me to do something with my computer, and kept asking me whether I owned it or not. I tried to get the company name out of him but he literally could not pronounce english letters. Finally called him a liar and a thief.

It's in Mexico

This number comes up at least 3 times a day and the person that calls informs me that my computer has a virus and he could fix it. Much to his surprise I told him that he reached the RCMP then a big click. There should be some way of blocking this number and all the unwanted numbers that we have to put up with.

Got the call (222) 55-7777, heavy accent telling me to turn on my computer, saying he was from microsoft and he wanted correct some "management tool". I told him no way, I have no problem with my machine so there is no need to do what he was asking. I also told him I was on the "do not call" listing. His claim was he was not asking for money. I don't know who to report this number to, just want to insure that it is continuing in June 2012. I hope there is someone out there who could take this group down.

Started receiving the calls from 222-555-7777 a few months back, and same as other people on this list he claimed to be from Microsoft to fix my computer. I told him it's a company computer and asked him to confirm who he was trying to call and on behalf of what company...he babbled out some name I couldn't understand, so I told him he had the wrong number. A few days ago the calls started again, more frequently. I answered a few times and only once did the guy talk back to me. I asked him again who was he trying to call and I told him he had the wrong number. That was yesterday, and since then I have received 8 calls and nobody is there when I answer. Unfortunately I missed a call so he was able to get to my voice my and hear my full name. Since it's a company phone I talked to our IT Security, who said there's really not much they can do except notify AT&T to try and block it. So will have to wait and see if that helps.

Was asked if I owned my computer. Heavy Indian accent. Managed to keep them on the phone for 15 min having them explain to me that they worked for Security Computer, PC Security, or something similar and they were monitoring my computer. I kept saying that monitoring my computer was illegal. Finally got to talk to a supervisor and they hung up. Did keep this turkey from calling for 15 plus minutes. TOTAL SCAM.
