There are at least two options for those bothered by people originating these offensive calls:1. Go to www.fcc.com and click on the electronic complaint form, filling out each of the entries (takes about two minutes), identifying the date and time of the unwanted call(s), any identifying information from Caller ID ("Unavailable" or "out of area" are valid entries), your number where the call was received and your name, street and email addresses. The FCC will immediately respond with an email to you, identifying the file number assigned to your complaint. If everyone filed these complaints to the FCC, that deluge will prompt an investigation and likely a fine on the calling party.2. I followed a recommendation from a comment listed elsewhere on 800Notes, where that person was extremely frustrated over calls from a number different than 222-555-7777 (as the above folks obviously are) and purchased a DIGITONE Call Blocker from www.digitone.com Three features attracted my interest: a) I now can block up to 80 specific telephone numbers, b) This device has "First Ring Supression." meaning that you will not even hear the first ring!!, c) you can block entire area codes, a feature that can be used to block all 800, 866, 877, 222 etc. numbers or those from specific (not toll-free) numbers. There may be other devices available, too. I saw immediate success with the one I purchased.Silence can be Golden!!Even so, I regularly report annoying/illegal/robo calls, etc. to the FCC. Now that I also use the DIGITONE device these annoying calls have been greatly reduced in number.

I have been in touch with the FCC and the AZ Attorney General to report these calls. I suggested they cooperate with the FBI to set up a telephone trap. That and 25 cents may get me a cup of coffee, based on my experience in dealing with the government.

just got a call from these bozo's.He says , "we have been receiving error messages from your computer for a very very long time."i said "well how can that be, my computer is running perfectly fine and i never have any problems". he said, "oh yes yes, we have lots of error messages from your computer" i said "thats the biggest bunch of BS i've ever heard, HAHAHAHAHA," i laugh right at him and slammed the phone down in his ear.....LMAO!!!

They indicated they were associated with E T Protection Services in New York. Suprise, Suprise no such data available. Request they take me off the AutoDial, with no luck. They want to scan your computer. After leading them for a while, they finially hung up. In the future just tell them you need to put them on hold and go to your computer, see how long they keep on the line, and then they will dump the call. Good Luck...

just got a call from 222 555 7777 - didn't answer it - thank goodness for Caller ID

these jerks call my cell phone about 5 times a day…even though I am on the DO NOT CALL NATIONAL REGISTRY (I KNOW…B/C THEY SHOW A FAKE NUMBER, THEY ARE ALLOWED) I am screaming stop calling me…& they call back, again, and agin, and again. i am at my wits end…they interrupt my calls, & my life (WHO DO WE REPORT THEM TO????…I'VE HAD IT!!!!!!!!!)

yea i got this call to about a year ago and called microsoft they told me it is a scam and they were trying to track this person down well guess what guess they never got him now its a year later and i just got another call from the same person so went on and told him you are not with microsoft and you are a scammer. so i guess they havent found this guy yet what ever he says just hang up on him.

Me and my family are practically foaming at the mouth over this interupption in our lives. We already have ENOUGH stress to deal with.

Suppose to represent Microsoft. Said my computer was being hacked. Tried to sale me software to protect my computer.
