Ive seen this # on my husbands usage but he erased them. I think hes hiding a # for a lady I caught him with! Anyone know for sure bout this number?

Is this hard to do? Ive never heard of this hangout before! And do u think hes using email to do this r just texts & hides the #?

I have about 60 of them on three separate days. One after the other, after the other. Bam. Bam. Bam.They don't ping my phone, just my account.I called my carrier, the number doesn't exist, and they can't explain it, or block it (without a fee - go figure).It doesn't mean someone is cheating on you or looking at porn, it is some kind of scam.

You are if you're using a group text, check the time stamp to your group message time stamps

Hey all. I found this number multiple times on both mine and my husband's phone record. The same days and about the same times. Multiple times during a single minute and also several hours apart.I have a theory: Remember when one used to get a bill from the long distance company carrier and sometimes they had a long distance call they charged you for that wasn't yours? Say to another country or at an hour your were sleeping or away from your land line? Maybe the phone company (ATT for us) is trying to add additional "text" messages to help us get to or go over our text limits. We have unlimited texting, so it doesn't affect us this way, but don't texts also take up data space? I don't know but it's a theory in progress.Would be interested in another opinion.

Ok guys, all the people worrying about cheating relax. I saw it on my wife's phone bill while I was doing my expense report, looked up a 288 area code(doesn't exist) and then just calmly asked her about it. As it is not a legit phone number figure it's not a text from some nefarious person. She does sign up for lots of web sites for crafting and this and that. This one in fact matches up with coupons she gets from Michael's, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc. Seems to be a clearing house for texted coupons. Verified it by matching up time stamps with her phone. On the phone it truncates to things like 2885 2884 etc, but all trace back to that same 288-256-4782. Now I know some will think I am having the wool pulled over my eyes, but if you look at the bill in question from your spouse or significant other, you will see all texts are incoming....no outgoing. Hell of a one sided affair wouldn't you say? Anywho, I hope it puts some minds at ease.
