Received a call this evening. I answered the phone and it rang and then went dead. I decided to research and came across this website. Thanks to all who have contributed. What a great asset!!

Just got this hang up call too. So glad I found this site. I'm going to block that number if possible.

I received a call from this number today and recognized it from a couple of years ago (I was concerned at THAT time because it comes up as "Police Protecti....." and any call from "police" would be a concern). I did not answer and they left no message. You would have thought this "operation" would have been stopped by now but apparently they have some success with their scam. I don't know that I would judge the "Farrell" owner of the number as a White Pages search indicates the resident in the 65+ age group so I suspect they have no knowledge of their direct involvement.

The phone service (Verizon) doesn't allow blocking of this number.

Received a call I did not answer the call. They did not leave a message

Caller ID said: Police ProtectiI picked up the phone and heard dialing, then nothing. Hung up.

I received an extremely rude call from this number around 7:00 PM this evening - 5/14/07.They have been calling here regularly but not leaving messages.I had answered a call from them about a month ago, they asked for my wife (by the wrong name) and when I said my wife was not available the man said he would call her back later.Tonight I said I noticed they'd been calling a lot and asked who they were. He said something about raising money for the police, and that my wife had donated last year and could he send us the materials for a donation this year.I've been getting suspicious, so I very politely answered that we not in a position to donate and were limiting our charitable contributions this year.At this point he screamed in my ear "I'm not asking you!!!!" and slammed down the phone. He yelled loud enough to actually hurt my ear.I will be reporting this to the local police, and to consumer protection.

Thank you, this is the FORMER number of my father. It has not been his number for 2 years but his name and address still appear on internet searches. People should not rely on internet searches and then publically identify people as abusive callers!!!

Received call at 7:49. I asked for information in writing and caller said if I didn't commit to a donation over the phone he would not send anything in writing and then hung up.

Received call 3/6/2007, 7:30pm. I answered, heard someone talking to someone else for about 2 seconds, and they hung up.
