These people keep calling my cell phone number waisting my valuable minutes. I waited for the call to end followed instructions and as soon as I started to tell them to take me off their list, he hung up. When a redialed the call, the mailbox for Burman is full.
One of the tricks that I do is get a person on the line then ask them to hold on for a minute ------------- until I get some information for them. You can guess how long they will stay on the line.
These people have been calling for months wanting to offer me some chance to lower my interest rate. I tell them not to call my cell phone (it's on the Do Not Call List), and they hang up on me. Then, I keep getting the calls. They are violating several federal and state laws.
I am reporting this number because I want to stop them from harassing me. They call morning, noon and night.
Simple solution....answer the call and waste their time. Pretend you're interested and jerk their chain for as long as you can. This really screws with their scam. Ignoring the calls does nothing because their predictive dialer will just call you back. Don't make things easy for them, force THEM to answer the phone.Believe me, they don't want to talk to people that waste their time.
yeah, just got a call from them and did not answer. They didn't leave a message. I'm on the donotcall list, so now I have to go waste my time to report them. Does anything ever happen to them, or do they just change their number??? Very annoying.
I have been getting calls from this number (303-249-9700) which is a tape recording from "ANN" instead of Heather or Rachael, etc. telling me that my credit card rate can be lowered. If I push "1' I get disconnected, so I never get to ask to have my number removed. But this isn't a call from a legitimate business. It is just another version of the Nigerian emails trying to get your credit card information. So when you heard the voice saying it is Ann, or Heather, etc., just hang up.
It amazes me that everyting I do on my cell account can be tracked by Verizon, yet they cannot track these numbers and prosecute. All they will offer to do is block a number. I asked if they could block an entire area code, since most of my calls are from Florida and Colorado, and they couldn't. Yeah, right? These scammers should be hung by their thumbs in a public place.
