Told by Bank President - B/A does not engage in telephone surveys or cold calls. If they call, they will leave a message, always.
Call came in yesterday as Bank of America. I answered the call and they told me it was a survey for the bank. I told them no thanks and hung up. Today I recieved another call from the same number and answered again, when I was told it was it was a survey - I told them they called me yesterday and then asked them how many times are you going to call me? The lady asked if I wanted to be put on their do not call list and I said YES! I have now blocked this number
10 pages of complaints on this number, it is a scam trying to get bank numbers out of you.
Scam!! Thought it was legit since I bank with BOA. Started to do a customer satisfaction survey. I hung up when she asked me my age! Red flag.
I got twice their calls. I answered 2nd time. It is a genuine survey about my recent visit to the branch. They were notasking any account number information. 'Are you satisfied?' --the person asked. I told 'yes'. 'Anyone from your familyworks for the bank?--he asked. I told 'yes'. The survey ended. Not a bogus phone call. But 3rd party surveying for the bank.

Received a call from 866-385-1344 with an extension of 7693 and said they (Alan) were with CIBC. When I called the number it did NOT say CIBC and when I keyed in the extension it stated this extension could not take calls.

Call received at 09:43 a.m. on Wednesday, 18 December 2024. No caller identifier was given, so I let the answering machine pick up. No message was left. The call originated in Calgary, AB.
