Got a call and actually picked up. I usually don't. It was an actual human, asking me by name, claiming a "customer satisfaction" survey for BofA. I said, " BofA doesn't usually call", unless it's automated for a specific issue already reported. He then said it was this "Maritz" research/marketing company. Smelling rats, I told them I can communicate with them any time I like and hung up. It's unsettling when they know your name. Check out the caller ID that isn't even a name.
Out of curiosity i answered. Nobody was on the other end and the calling party hung up. I assuming the robot caller has now marked me as someone who answered and i'll shortly be receiving another call, this time from an actual maritz scammer. Hopefully they call while i'm not busy so i can have a little fun and wasting their time.
Caller id: Bank of AmericaLeft no message
Let answering machine answer, and was a hang up call. Figure that it is a scam - we get lots of scam calls - quite the nuisance.
This is a scam call from a phony copycat firm using the bank of america id.
On 11/22/2016 Call me twice once at 12:30 pm and 8:54 pm . CID said Bank of American
Very odd, claims to be Bank of America and they knew my name before I told them. They called me on a number I have never given out to anyone though. I hung up the first time they said it was a survey, and now they just called me again a day later.
Called 8-9-17 @ 6:36pm, ID shown BANK OF AMERICA. I had contacted B of A using their automated number earlier that day so I answered the phone. Asked for me by name, quickly said a few things in a heavy accent and they ended the call. Not the customer service I am accustomed, so I researched the number.

It sucks. Scam calls are getting wilder than ever — they’re even spoofing IRCC’s number now.
So when you pick up and hear that little ‘beep…’ at the start, it’s usually a scam.
Just hang up without hesitation
