We received this call on our house phone from them.They were offering some free deal through the Detroit news where they would only send us the ads and coupons part of the Sun. paper and that we would get it on Sat. afternoon starting in March. No strings attached and absolutly free. We said ok. Now am questioning it and very nervous about it. Now, not only have they called our house. They even called our cell phone!!!! AHHHHH!!
I am getting two to three calls a day from these idiots. Has anyone been successful in getting them to stop?
The number is up to it again. Starts at 8:30am every morning. Calls up 5 times a day. I just let it ring to my voicemail... it's a long one, so whomever it is should enjoy the break.
314-963-8895 shows in Caller Id as "News" but is NOT! Collection Agency Scammers that dig up Paid Off and Closed Accounts from 5-7+ years ago. They then claim that the account is still delinquent and try to collect the money AGAIN from unsuspecting people. If you give them a credit card number or bank information for a check draft, they will continue to max out your credit card and/or drain your bank account. The only solution will then be to close out your accounts. Do NOT fall for this SCAM!! Do NOT pay Collection Agencies!! Instead ask for PROOF of the debt and then contact the original lender. IF you owe any money, ONLY pay it DIRECTLY to the original lender and save yourself problems from these SCAMMERS!!

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
