Number showed up on my tv screen.I never pickup or return calls from any number that I don't know No message went through the to my answering machine. If,as some of the blogs I see here,it is regarding my computer and offers to help me..WELL, I fell for it once.What a big mistake. I notified my local police who took down everthing.Once bitten twice very shy..
Finally answered call (not recognizing number) after receiving calls on my cell and house phone. It was the same old call (foreign accent) from the "Computer Center" that there was a problem with my computer.
Lately they have been calling me lately from #s similar to this. They leave no message. Visual vmail indicates it is spam, so I just block & delete.
Mack with a thick foreign accent said he was windows support and needed to fix my computer. IThen he asked me if I understood. Told him I sure recognized a scam!
CID says "AKRON OH", but it's the usual Indian(?) Windows scam. Caller said that her company was "United States Personal Computer Care". I asked where her company was headquartered and where she was calling from. Hangup.
