Any number with an out of state area code that isn't my family is subject to search first! Then I laugh reading the comments here - thanks. I will never pick them up. Medical Alert or Computer scam these 'phoks' are 'phishing' and I am not biting.Phishing in my book = prank.

I told the caller that they needed to talk with our IT department, and offered to transfer the call. I hung up. They immediately called back, and I explained that he had reached a government agency and needed to talk with our IT staff. He said that he just needed to alert me to the "virus" and did not need access to my computer. I reiterated that our IT department was responsible for these problems. He hung up.

That number shows up just about everyday on my caller ID. Last time that I answered that call I told them that I had tossed the damn thing out of the window just because I was sick and tired of their annoying calls.

Received a call similar to above telling me my windows system was down and I needed to allow them to access. AMY Murphy was the name which was on display. When I suggested to put me on Do not call list - and this was a scam very colorful words were spat at me by a very nasty woman who was clearly fron India (with a lot of noise in the background

Called this morning - CALLER ID said Amy Murphy, I had gotten calls from her before months ago and already had the number blocked but since she/they are still at it trying the "fix your computer" scam thought I should report it

Called about my computer, I said with who, then they hung up
