No doubt this company has hit a trouble spot, but look at the growth in such a short period of time. I hear they have build over 500 kitchens, not all of them could be bad. They have a BBB A+ for a reason. Has anyone looked at the overall economy? It's a 10% unemployment, and here's a company trying to employ people. Yes, they've made some mistakes and made a lot of changes. They need to make some more changes, but don't you think they might turn it around? Lots of companies have cash flow problem now, because the banks aren't loaning money. Companies usually restructure, get some new investors, pick up the pieces and make things happen. I bet we'll all get paid without having to go nuts. I'm gonna give them a week and see were they land. If Armstrong spent the time to take a look at them, I'd imagine there's something worth waiting for. Big companies don't make overnight decisions. Who legitimately hasn't been paid for work that was approved by their inspector? How many homeowners really haven't been contacted? I just tried to call and got thru fine. Sure they downed their website b/c they aren't selling, but their customer service is working to try to get solutions. I know the timing couldn't be worse here at Christmas, but wait and see before going nuts. I would wager that the majority of the installers are going to get paid everything that is due to them and that all of the homeowners who have bought a kitchen remodel will have their kitchen completed. I doubt it will be in two to three weeks, but it will get finished. What's the alternative? Spend months, maybe years in court and maybe comeout with nothing? I got an e-mail saying there will be an announcement on Thursday. I'm going to wait and see what they've got figured out. I hope you do too, because frankly I need the work!
How can you say that you don't pay until kitchen is finished. That is a lie. Our credit card was charged $20,000 before any work was even started on our kitchen. This was NOT what the salesperson told us and all the other Kitchen Carolina customers. Maybe the 1st few kitchens that were completed were OK but right now I wouldn't let anyone associated with Kitchen Carolina near my home.

Never had an installer that completed the work -- all went away or I fired them cause they did a crappy job. If you're going to file, you must have completed the job. We had 5 installers, 4 electricians, 3 plumbers. The floor, tile, and granite companies were paid. The workers who decided to work for such a firm hold some responsibility for their stupidity too.
that is crazy...the homeowners did not hire you and do not have a contract with you......so how is that FAIR?.....95% of these homeowners are in the same boat as the sub-contractors......i had to go out and hire my own contractor......
Mike Italiano I can say u do good work and its too bad the Lee's got bo boed. But lein house were work was done is the only way too get anything. Robbie is protected by backrupcy and incorporated. Se u on the next one[ya right]
Look, spare me the company inspector routine. I was eyes and ears on every job I went to and did my best to inform whomever about things needed to be done on any job I did. Just last week I did repairs for a few customers just to find out the same hacks that did the work were still installing for the company. One job was to complete the grouting of a back splash...WHAT a back splash they couldn't get right and I was sent to grout it and had to fix many tiles because they are HACKS (didn't get paid for that one yet...will I?? don't know..maybe. No one needs to inspect anything I did for me to get paid. All you have to do is ask the customer if the tile work is finished and they will tell you.One of the company "inspectors" told me about some great sealer to put over the left over vinyl backing so you wouldn't have to take it up!! What clown tile setter told him this. According to each and every thin set manufacturer known to man ALL surfaces are to be free of all oils,paints sealers..etc or they will not warranty nothing.No such product exists but the unqualified inspector takes the bait from the hack that has no business doing tile work.This was some blatant attempt by some clown tile guy telling another person unqualified in tile some story to help him take shortcuts to make an extra dime. I would love Kitchen Carolina to get going again. I would love to keep installing tile for them. Get rid of the hacks and hire the correct and responsible tradesman for the job and you have to have the right person hiring for the job as well.GET RID OF THE HACKS!
Thomas H Tilemaster I know u do good work - it may take u alittle longer and u like to talk - but your work in fine.I agree with u and i hope they get going again - cause there r a few of us [and i use that loosly] that r good at what we do and enjoy it. PS Now u got more time to hunt [SCARED}
