I live in Canada and just received a call from386-233-3694. No message left on answering machine. Funny that. I'm registered on the Do Not Call List in Canada and yet I keep getting STUPID, ANNOYING telemarketing calls. There is NO WAY to stop them from calling. I've even asked them to take my number off their list when they phone and 2 weeks later a call comes through from the same company. Like I said: NO WAY TO STOP THEM!!!
Who are these guys!? They just phone me and there's a msg from a robot to decreadr my credit card interest...HATE THAT!
I got a call today from 386-233-3694. An automated voice answered saying it was "card services" and that I should call back immediately or press 2 to speak to someone about lowering my interest rate on my credit card. At first I thought it was my real credit card company calling me. I am in Canada and my credit cards are through major Canadian banks (TD, RBC, etc), so the American area code was fishy. Most sheisty was that the caller did not identify any credit card company; just a vague "card services", whatever the hell that is. Whenever my real credit card provider has called me (i.e. to confirm a large purchase, etc) they always identify who they are and let me call back on the number on the back of my actual credit card. I'm also on the DNCL but I still get these stupid calls.
I keep getting this caller almost every day, it shows up as UPS tracking...I am also getting spam on my computer from the same UPS tracking info? with a file attachement (which i never open) this is insane.
I received a call from 1 386-233-3694 about my credit card. This call is from Florida. I have no credit card in USA. This is a fraud. I am reporting this unwanted call.
Got a call from them today. Press 1 to decrease your interest rate on your credit card. Thought this was a legit call from my credit card company but the recording did not identify which company was calling. Pressed 1 and asked who I was speaking to. She gave me her name and said "Credit Card Services". I then pressed the issue and said "What Company?" and she hung up on me. Scammer fishing for credit card numbers???
I just blocked is number from my panasonic phone. Just look under menu, initial settings and call block. It lets you type in the number you want blocked and wallah!
This is a Telemarketer with a scam to"Lower your credit card interest rates"by selling you a US credit card with a rate lower than you are paying now - AFTER they get your personal information. A stupid US scammer whopreys on Canadians, who is not subjectto our national 'Do Not Call' list, and doesnot have the brains to understand thatour banking laws prevent their type offraud, and our dollar is worth more thantheirs, and any 'contracts' are unenforceableand our Privacy laws can be enforced byProsecution - even in Daytona Beach Florida. If you really want to stop them, push*60 on your phone, turn your call screenService ON, enter their number, and Presto - No more calls. To go further, for about $5.00 a month you can enter12 numbers and have all of them blockedFor all time.
This number called me this morning. A recording began to tell me something about "card holder services". I hung up.
The best way I know how to stop getting these calls is to thank them for their call, tell them I'm not interested and ask to be removed from their list. If they ignore me and go on I repeat my request and tell them that it is against the law to not remove me if I ask them. Then I thank them again for the call and wish them luck. Works like a charm.
