Check your settings for "Call Block" feature. Click on this, bottom right hand corner should read ADD. Press button below ADD and type in the number you want to block. Use area code. If this number calls, your phone will ring a partial ring and the display will indicate that the call has been blocvked. To unblock numbers, access the CALL BLOCK feature again, scroll to the number you wish to unblock and press the erase button. This is for my Panasonic KX-TGA740C. If your phoneis a different model, check your user manual. You can download this from the Panasonic website.
This is indeed a Florida compnay offering cheaper credit cards. I did manage to get a real person who told me they "saw" that I was paying way too much for my existing cards. When I asked how she knew this, she completely evaded the question, continued with her spiel. I hung up. And what's best about this - I don't own a credit card for her to "see" how much I pay.Do yourself a favour and hang up, or if you have call display do not answer. They will give up. It's a scam and why would you want a US credit card anyway. Our credit laws protect us Canadians in far more ways that any in the states. The laws here protect the consumer, not the credit company or bank.
We keep getting calls from this number telling us that it is our last chance to lower our debt on our credit card (which we do not have). My husband pressed one, and got a live person, and asked just how do we lower a rate on something we do not have. She promptly hung up.
This number called Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, on May 18, 2011, at 10:48 a.m. I let my answering machine get it but they didn't leave a message. The Call Display read "OUT OF AREA".
This company should be advised that in Canada if we are on the Do Not Call List, we can also file a complaint with the U.S.A. FCC (Federal Communications Commission).
I also live in Canada & am registered on the "Do not call list". Like many other Federally or Provincially related services the Gov't falls down on the job...it's repeatedly been in the news that the Government was deceiving constituents on this National registry by continuing to sell your phone number to marketers. However, there's been new legislation introduced & new regulations within Federal levels which have since been reported by news media to have reversed this. While they continue to say the National Registry does not provide 100% coverage, it seriously reduces the number of unwanted calls. I too am plagued by this number (386-233-3694) calling at all times of the day. I would propose it's a computer generated loop phoning me therefore there is no message if I don't answer...it's an automated call feature. Unfortunately, though I have a Panasonic Cordless phone it doesn't contain this call block feature in the settings. The only way to block some of these calls is by subscribing to Bell's call blocking service. I am low income & already pay alot for basic phone & internet service. Life is expensive enough & I have no frills or additional features. I just use my caller ID to screen incoming calls. Anything I don't recognize I don't answer. I figure eventually these #'s will get fed up with the "no answers" & stop dialing ;)
I've had this call block monthly subscription feature on my phone before (*60) it does not block all of these unwanted telemarketing or collections numbers. I've often tried to enter a number into the call block only to receive an automated message telling me, "this number is not registered with this service". Once in a while I was able to circumvent this problem....as there's an option to block the last incoming number by pressing "1"...but there have been some telemarketing numbers no matter what I do with the call block service they were ineligible for the service. That means those numbers are exempt. Just like registered charities, emergency services & a few other numbers which are legally exempted from the National Do not Call registry. I got fed up with the 1/2 a dozen numbers I was unable to "block" yet I'm paying for a "call block" feature...I have a very strict budget, so I got rid of this extra $8.00/per month (incl. tx's) as it add's up over the course of a year.
got another called today. I live in Canada, how are they going to lower my interest rates in CANADA! Different regulations apply HELLO 386-233-3694! I am in CANADA...HELLO, anybody in there? anybody with uh say a BRAIN? HELLO?!
I received a call from the above number. Since I still have and will keep the old system of answering machine I look at the directory on my phone if it is unknown number I let the machine go on and in my message I state that I filter my call. Guess what they don't leave a message.
