If you do business with these companies and this call is related to a service they provide like a survey- they can still call you..it is not illegal

The company behind this number is Convergis, an infomation collection company. They were probably hired by a company you do business with to do a post service survey. In my case it was from a call I made to my health insurance company. This company called two days later and wanted me to take a survey on how my health insurance company performed. If you don't want these people calling you, you have to tell the company they are calling for not to give out your number for any reason, even a survey on how they are doing.

I know you are trying to help, but please dont use all caps(something gets lost in translation), sometimes a word or two in all caps to stress a point, but dont go over board,. Your message wasn't very clear, what numbers are you punching in while on phone? (the usual for extensions), why would you punch in a 900 number, also it is not so easy to give over your phone service to a caller and if this did happen, you should not be charged by your provider, call and get a credit due to thier inability to secure thier phone lines.Good luck, I hope you get an easy resolution.

called twice today said they were conducting a survey for the Post Office

This number is legit. If you don't have an account with them- they probably just have the wrong number. This is their credit dept in Colorado.

I have AT&T, and I got a call from this same number at 7:30 this evening. I did not answer since I did not know the number. No message was left. Plus, I do not know anybody in Omaha, NE. I also am on that Do Not Call List!!! Seems to me like something is wrong here... I thought that this list was make to protect us... Guess not..

Called last night but never left a message

This call was from Convergys Knowledge Management Services aka Convergys Corp. out of Erlanger Kentucky. The person calling was a woman from a call center in Manila Philippines who asked if I would like to participate in a survey of grocery store shopping habits. I agreed and was asked various questions about age, annual income and approximate dollar amounts spent per months and about the quality of goods and services from your preferred grocer on a one to ten rating scale. She indicated the my phone number was randomly generated and not from a list of phone numbers. Upon asking if the information I had give would be associated with my phone number, the surveyor indicated that it would not! I hope she is right about that!

February 21, 2008 Got a call at 8:05 tonight. Did not answer since I did not recognize the number. I am on a do not call list. But like someone above, I made a call to CIGNA health care about a plan. Wonder if they are connected to this organization. Very frustrating!
