That's stupid. Why don't they just put Paypal on the caller ID if they are legit? Which they must be if the number is listed on eBay. And I did make a large Paypal purchase, but I don't answer "Unknown" (who does :-) ) so missed it. Thanks all!

I actually got a call from this number and to CONFIRM it is paypal customer service.I phoned Paypal up as i'm waiting for my account to be open again due to limations. AND they have confirmed that this number IS paypal!!I thought it was dodgy so i didnt answer it but i called paypal and they confirmed it is actually a genuine paypal service!!

Received call from this number asking for my wife's first name; caller would not identify self, but said it was "related to a business matter". He insisted on providing no information whatsoever, and was quite rude. That's no way to conduct business, I say. If a business call is legitimate, the caller will identify themselves, openly and honestly.In my experience, the only people who call in such a manner are collection agencies barking up any tree they can find, harrasing people with similar names to their targets.

If that is "indeed you phone number" and not a "scam number", I am VERY curious to know how everyone seems to be getting charged without having purchased anything. I don't even have a Paypal account! So when I Google the number and this forum comes up with all the same complaints...well, it's kind of obvious there's a problem dude.

received a phone call from them today. i don't know anyone in nebraska, so i figured i would google it. then found this! they didnt leave a message though...

I didn't receive a call, but I received an email referencing my PayPal Debit MasterCard that I had used. They wanted me to verify - by responding to the email, that the charge was good. And if I didn't respond, the charge would be verified and go through. Thing is, I DO NOT have a Debit Card!!! And I've never heard of Speedyshare Inc.

It's really PayPal. I just got off the phone with a rep. from there, and the number is legitimately paypal. They called me to confirm that I really made a particular purchase. I was a little worried about it, but paypal had a record of the call, so I think it's okay.

My credit card extension (for my wife) was charged twice by this merchant acc # 402 935 7733 for P100.00 each. The incident happened while we are waiting for the transaction on my credit card (principal) for teh meal we had in a restaurant. We waited for @ 20 minutes before i got my credit card back with the process transaction. We learned from the credit card company HSBC that the transactions was made by this account while we were waiting for the return of my credit card. The time of the transaction with the restaurant stated on my receipt was 9:16 PM, while the two transactions were timed at 9:31PM and 9:35PM on the same date.
