I just received 2 calls today from this number.. i didnt answer either times and now i looked this up... i am really concerned as i did withdrawal from my paypal account this morning from an ebay transaction. I am getting mixed feedback and i am extremely paranoid now.. is this number for real? could they have a question about my transaction? Or is it someone trying to commit fraud and get my account info??
I had a fraudulent charge on my credit card in Feb 2007 that showed "PAYPAL *SUPPORT 402 935 7733 CA for several hundred dollars. Does anyone have a similar story or have any information
Got two calls this morning, came here, read all this madness, and then logged into PP and searched this phone number on their site.. shows up as a customer service line for PP.. asked for my name, and last 4 of SS.. then asked me about 2 large paypal purchases I made.. I confirmed them as being mine.. end of story.. I also audited my paypal account, and bank account, and there were no unauthorized charges anywhere to be found. I didnt give them any info that they would need to access or make charges from my account, and they didnt ask me for any.. If Im wrong and this ends up being a scam Ill repost here, but at this point Id say its legit..

I just called and checked the unrecognized number with Paypal and it shows a legit transaction. Paypal said that my wife made a contribution and a non-profit organization that used Paypal to receive their money. The transaction was made outside Paypal but it went thru Paypal then Visa to complete the transaction. My wife verified the transaction and the amount. My Visa statement shows Paypal 402-935-7733 and the amount. I was worried for a minute.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
