The very same thing just happened to me. It sounded like a good deal (although I am smart enough to know better) and I gave them my card number. When the second person called back and became beligerant when I questioned the $912.00 charge to reduce my interest rates, I finally became suspicious. I told him I was contacting my credit card company to check on this and he became even more pushy, saying I did not understand. I said I understood fully that this did not seem like a valid offer, hung up, and immediately called my Visa company. They agreed that they would not call me directly with an offer like that and were 99.9% sure it was a scam. I also contacted my state's Attorney General's office and reported it. They were pretty sure it was a scam and said I did the correct thing by canceling my card. As it turns out, my credit card number will be lowering my interest rate anyway, just for calling them directly, and with no charges! I should have known better.

I also got a call trying to scam me. JUST HANG UP--Once you press the button they request, say GOODBY to your personal info.

Caller ID identified it as "Credit Services" ... reverse lookup showed the number as a cell phone located in Ashland MT which is on an Indian Reservation.I suspect this is a scam to get your. CC number.Remember, the only "outside" law enforcement agency that has any jurisdiction on a "Res" is the FBI.

This number has called a few times. I have no credit cards, only debit cards, so a better interest rate does not apply in my situation. I've pushed the button to not be contacted again, but they still do. Latest call was a few minutes ago. Wonder if I spoke to a "human" to tell them I have no credit cards, if the calls would stop? Probably not...

Call came in as Credit Services. Didn't answer, no message. Something really needs to be done about these type of companies/people.

I just received this call and am little out of sorts about it as they woke me up. However, after reading the above posts, i feel a bigger incentive to pay off certain cards. I just wonder how come it's always with Chase and not cards from smaller banks and credit unions. Somebody is "dropping the ball" somewhere. I definitely can't wait to get rid of these. They raise interest rates after their "bail-out" then sell information to somebody else to call and "lower" your rate???? I don't get this anywhere else.

Received a phone call from this cell phone, had a symbol instead of the identification of the caller.I let the answering machine answer which all I heard was nothing.The white pages says it is coming fromMontana.I have no credit cards so they wasted their time.
