I have had problems with "Credit Services" calls for over a year. Mostly, it is the recorded voice of Rachael from credit services. I have even told them that we have no credit card debt. They don't care. Last time I spoke to a rep, I asked to talk to a manager. The guy responding to me told me he was the manager. I told him I was on the do not call list and to take me off their list immediatly or there would be raminfications. He got very hostile with me, maybe because I was screaming at him. He told me I could expect to be called 800 more times. I have tried to not be called again numerous times by selecting the option to not be called, this has never worked. They have probably called me about 50 times in the last few months.
That's because these are SCAMMERs people. If you don't recognize the phone number, don't answer the call. Legitimate banks and credit card companies call from 800 numbers that they have had for many years, they identify themselves, and you can verify who they are by calling the main number. Scammers call from any old number they can get, they use autodialers, they don't leave messages, they hang up on you, they act weird. It's common sense. Use your noggins and don't get scammed.
Computer generated voicemail left on child's phone...partial message regarding lower interest rates. His phone is on the do not call list. I called the number back and there was no ring. UNWANTED CALL - NO WAY TO REQUEST THEY DELETE IT FROM THEIR CALL LIST. UNACCEPTABLE!
