Shows as Florida on caller ID. Starts this is Rachel with Card Services. Hang up or don't answer. Once you have answered they call ever #$%& day!
I was telephoned from this number on 5/7/12 and they wanted me to give them my PayPal credit card number. I could not find my credit card so gave them a difficult time and ended up saying if they were from Visa why don't they tell me the number. I ended up saying &#@#%%%$ and she hung up. I called Pay Pal and complained about the 23% I enterest rate and said &#@#%%%$ to them also, but hung up on them before they hung up on me. PayPal said calls from this number are a scam to get credit card numbers. No one should ever give their credit card number to strangers who call them.&#@#%%%$
Wife answered call from these dirtbags. Recorded message about how "we can save you money by reducing the interest on your credit cards" bla bla bla. She actually pressed (1) to speak to a live operator. Wife immediately asked "exactly WHICH credit card company do you represent?" *CLICK* from the other end!
I have a "this number is no longer in service" message with tones on my answering machine message. So simple it's stupid. Works like a friggin' charm. They call just once and voila! Gone!
I never pick up the phone due to the convenience of caller ID. I don't have my voicemail hooked up either, so they get the "This phone has not set up voicemail. Good bye" and that should stop them because my phone is a dead end. Keep the ringer on when your awake and turn it off when you go to bed. Good ol' Caller ID. I have a blinking red light when a call comes in so I never miss a call, I just don't get back right away LOL. My phone collects a list of who called anyway. It works for me.
The FCC could find the con artist / scammer if they really wanted to do that. In the past they have called and said it is Rachel from Card Services. In my opinion, they just want to get peoples credit card numbers.
I just got a for this number. I think it is a Scott Lowery number. PLEASE let us know what your software name is. I will have to get it and put it on my MAC.These calls are a nuisance and even more so when my 88 yr old father with Alzheimers' answers and talks to anyone giving information that should not be given out. THAT is my dilemma. Thanks and I will check back for answer.
Sick of getting this call. We are on the do not call list. How can we stop this nonsense?
