was on ebay and wanted to watch an auction so when i logged in, it asked me to verify my account. it showed me my phone number with the number's x'd out except for a few or they could email it to you too. got the call and gave me a 4 digit pin # to input on the screen and that was it.
I got the same phone calls and was left on my vm but only said if you are expecting this call to press 5. They called 4 times in a row and it was 11:30 at night when I got the calls. I was not sure who it was or why they are calling.
This number called us @ 11 pm est. We do not answer calls from numbers we do not know and with an autistic child with sleep problems, we do not appreciate anyone calling after 10 pm or before 10 am. This is harrassment and I hope Ebay is aware and fixing the problem.
I didn't put anything up for sale and they are calling repeatedly (within 3 minutes time after time - I've just had to take my phone off the hook because my kids are sleeping). This is CRAzy!
I received a call from 408-376-7400 at 4:00 am. I then contacted eBay and found out that it was not one of their numbers. They said that they would investigate.
I had to reset my ebay account as I forgot the password and it calls you on the number registered to your account - so if you dont have an ebay account you will probably find that someone else has an ebay account and put a silly phone number in their profiles which happens to be your number. I found this extremely useful when I needed it - so I hope this helps explains your query.
Well, Boo Hoo on you. Help us understand why, if it's even ebay ???, they see fit to annoy their customer base by making calls from a windowless dungeon with no idea of what time it is in the real world?
