Im a Belgian living in Maldives, never had an Ebay account and had two missed calls at midnight local time on my mobile phone number here. Sounds like one hell of a big scam. Found many complaints from all over the world once i checked it online.

Call at 10:30PM PST on Sunday, 2/7/10. We are on "No Solicitor Calls List" so not happy thuys call made it through.

If you or someone else in your house signed up for an E-bay service, please press the number requested (1, 2, 9, whatever).If no one in your house recently signed up for any E-bay service, by all means, hang up without pressing anything. Someone has either mis-typed their number or are trying to fraud E-bay with a fake (i.e. YOUR) phone number.Because E-bay is attempting to provide good customer service, the call is attempted ASAP after the person who entered your phone number. E-bay will try to call several times if you don't answer or don't press anything, again attempting to provide good customer service to the person who entered your number (by mistake or attempted fraud).Don't be hatin' E-bay for these calls if you were not expecting E-bay to call. Just hang up. You'll probably get a few more in quick succession, but they will stop if you don't press anything.Thank-you for reading before ranting!

I had gotten 4 text in succession from Ebay listing a temporary access code. Then this 408 376 7400 number rang right when the text messages showed up. I called Ebay. They told me an IP address in India had tried to get on my account. My Ebay account is now locked down.

i see all the notes stating thie phn# is from ebay. i just got a call from this #, but the weird thing is I DO NOT have an ebay acct.......interesting?

Hey guys,I just used my Ebay account from another computer last night and Ebay needed to either call my phone or send an email with a temporary PIN. I had Ebay call me with the PIN and this is the number they use. It's an automated services that just repeats your temporary PIN until you hang up. This is not a scam, I got my PIN and logged into Ebay as normal.My guess is that if you're getting these calls and are not trying to log into your Ebay account... Someone else is.

I got 4 calls from this number at 5.30 a.m with the same message as everyone, pressed 2 when i called back and it told me to contact ebay using customer support on the web site. I contacted using live customer support and changed my password after they told me there was no evidence of them ringing me. Customer support did verify that the number is Ebay main corporation number tho

This is not Ebay calling! Look up Ebay and their customer service number. I received 4 calls from this 408-376-7400. No voicemail but 4 missed calls within 2 minutes. Fake number!

WHY are they calling really late and early. AND why would anyone who was expecting this call go on to this web site to look up this number!!!!How can we stop them!!!
