This company calls me at least twice a day. There is usually no answer when I pick up, however, sometimes I get a recorded message that says "Our representative just missed you. If you have questions, call. . .
We get a call from this number at least once a day. This is been going on for over year. We wanted to stop!
I've started getting telemarketing spammed by these guys, too. Supposedly they work with non-profits across the country to raise money, so if you've donated to a non-profit or researched one lately, that is likely the reason you're on their call list. If you look them up on BBB, they actually have an A+ rating! How is that possible?! But only 3 complains have been filed against them with the BBB (including the one I just filed today), so that's probably why they haven't been investigated. I highly suggest that everyone go to the BBB website and file a complaint against them (you can find them using the company name "Public Interest Communications, Inc." and selecting Pennsylvania as the state). Posting on forums like 800notes won't prompt any government or consumer protection agencies to action, but filing complaints with the BBB will.
I put call blocker on this number 412 622 7386 and now they are calling me on 412 622 7385- some thing- no-one there- what is the point of these anoying calls with no-one even there to try to sell you something?? What are they doing? worrying.
A man called Nov. 27 from this number asking for donations for Environmental Defense. I foolishly donated $25 on my AmEx, Today minutes apart the donation went through and then a scam donation. I called American Express and they said the scam donation was a test to see if the card worked then they would go for the kill later.
in order to work around the do not call list.note: even real non profits are not allowed to call cellular #s(pre dnc list existing regulation) even legitimate calls are not allowed to call any number that costs the recipient money to answer.
