I too got scammed by these horrible people, believe the negative posts here. I can't believe they think people are so stupid that they'll think happy satisfied customers would be getting calls from telemarketers (when they are already clients) would google the number and then feel the need to defend the company. Unbelievable, that's just an indication of how far they'll go.

They shorted me out of 4000.00 dollars

I read your story with sadness, because I had the same thing happen to me! I feel I was too trusting and should have cancelled before this nightmare began!!!!! My gut feeling is usually correct, but because I live with disabiity.... I was believing for a better result. I am too trusting! I placed a stop order after 2,500 was paid. They broke their contract as the great customer service they advertise is non-existant! Like you, I have received only half the order of meat promised. I will not continue to pay for product I did not receive!!! The financial people at neilson Finance are great at bullying. The only time anyone returned my call was when I placed a stop payment!!!! I sent 2 messages via Email to Beatrix Felix which they claim they never received. I gave the financial office a heads up that if I didnt hear from someone soon, I would be putting a stop order on my account, at which point I was threatened they would spoil my credit rating.... what ese can I do.... Communication is important and they avoid speaking with me by avoiding all my calls. At this point I feel they havnt a leg to stand on. A contract is null and void if they are not providing a service and giving product promised. They can take me to court. A mediator will visit my home and see I did not get value worth $5000.00!!!! Ill take my chances... and with the good Lords help I will succeed!!!! if we all stand together this company cant harm any of us!!!!

I recently did an order with them and was quite pleased. We are saving alot of money and the meat is second to none. I don't understand How people judge based on BBB rating the BBB is a joke. And who who orders something like food gives someone a cheque signs a contract then retracts cancels the cheque and changes their mind about buying food? I would definetly reccomend them especially if you are looking for good quality meats/foods and would like to save money?

Well, thanks to all above about the lousy customer service. If I Was owner of such a shop I would do everything possible to ensure my customers were satisfied with the complete order.Now (August 2012), they are now IGNORING the CRTC's Telecom Rules and making calls just by lookups with the Infospace White pages. NO Filtering for Do-not-Call, Nothing. When they Call, they know your Firstname , Lastname, Address, PostalCode and finally , Phone Number.They will claim, that it was an 'error' on their part , but will still try to 'sell' the product. \I must give credit to the sales staff, as once I did request to not be called again, they claimed to put me on the 'Do-not-call' List.But back to the DNCL, IF they had used it, they would not have called , now would they, so obviously there are only two answers,A) they IGNORE the 'LAW', and try to get away with anything they can, orB) They are incredibly incompetent at what they are doing.Either way, it does not garner an order with ' Grocery Group' or 'ShopCo' (Note they are Not related to Grocery Gateway, and that is another enterprise entirely, with the emphasis on Customer Service [Parent Outfit is Longo Foods])

I recently placed an order with The Grocery Group, I normally don't take call from these types of people but the man on the other end was very polite, very knowledgable, and had my interest from the very begining,, I agreed to have someone come out to my home and discuss the service with me, I was very impressed with the gentleman Jim that came out to our home, I felt very comfortable and very well informed, and any questions i had very answered with what I felt to be the truth. I recently received my delivery and was almost overwhelmed by the amount of food I received, There were a few things missing from my order and I called the office where I was again treated with respect and have been assured that the missing items were on backorder, and would be sent out to me as soon as tey were received, however if I wanted they would send out a refund for the amount missing! As I said,this is my first time ordering with the grocery group, but if this is the way they continue to treat me I will have no problem remaining a customer for years to come!

Why not contact the Ministry of Consumer Services. There is an investigation and complaint process. Your documentation might be very important, not just for your case but for any ongoing proceedings.

****AMAZING PERSONAL SERVICE****Thank you Katrina & The Grocery Group****Thank you Katrina for taking the time for all of your one on one service. I was so worried about everything I read on here and you went way out of your way to help. The driver (shout out to Jeff our driver and Jim our sales rep!!) got to my home late last evening and help me by putting the frozen products by the freezer and the groceries in the kitchen, a real nice younge man. As a single working mom, I was very nervous, but this is a great help, no line ups at the store on Saturdays any more for me! Looking forward to taking chicken and ribs to my sister's for a bbq tonight, they get their delivery Wednesday. Thanks again, I just used my Tim Hortons card for some "sweet treats" for the kids!

I urge you to contact the Ministry of Consumer Services and file a formal complaint. There is an investigation and complaint process. Your documentation might be very important, not just for your case but for any ongoing proceedings.
