I recieved my order from the grocery group in August of 11, and although there were some shorts the problems were fixed in no time, I dealt with Amanda who explained that there were some items on backorder and a soon a sthey were recieved they would be sent out to me, however if I chose not to wait then a refund check for missing items would be issued immediatly, I choose to wait and had my product in just over a week, I will be ready to place my 2nd order in May and am very much looking forward to it, the meats are excellent and I feel I totally got my moneys worth
Kat/Grocery Manager,You keep telling everyone to email their problems to info@thegrocerygroup.ca but everytime I do it doesn't go through, something's not right......What are you hiding and why doesn't anyone answer the phone?????
The Grocery Group (416) 439-8860 (used to be Canadian Fine Foods). Both have horrible ratings on BBB and several complaints filed against them. We received our first order in January 2012 after a nice Jamaican man came to our house and promised us the world. Great service, great quailty of meets... your order will come in two parts, one in a couple of weeks and one in 6 months. When we got our first shipment there was quite a bit there but there didn't seem to be any consistancy as to which products were shipped and how much of it. For instance we only got one box of large garbage bags when we ordered ten. How is one box of garbage bags suppposed to last us six months? That unfortunately is just one example. My wife spent an entire day unpacking our order and comparing it to what was on the packing list and comparing that to what we had ordered. She found, not only did we not get any of some of the products but we were short shipped some of the product that was on the packing list. My wife called immediately to try and clear up the short shipments and find out what happed to the rest of our HALF order only to be told that is was on "backorder" and would be shipped as soon as it came in. It is now March 16, 2012 and we have yet to receive any backordered items or any of the items that we were short shipped. We are out of some of the products we ordered and are going back to the grocery store to buy them so we are out more money. We have had the chance to try all the steaks, chicken and other meats and they are low quality!! The steak we had last week didn't even look like steak.Do not belive the "HAPPY CUSTOMER" quotes on this website. Believe the people that took the time to file complaints with the BBB. If we don't receive the rest of our food by June The Grocery Group will be hearing from my lawyer. Please feel free to email me at rgibson at robgibson dot ca if you have any questions.
Hi I am also getting the run around. They havent sent me my food and refund of missed items from 1st part. Of shipment. Please tell me what to do. I have contacted BBB.
GROCERY GROUP********SCAM******SCAM*******SCAM********Beatrix Felix did the same thing to us, We received under $2000 worth of Food and now have Nelson Financial saying they will take us to Court because we owe $5600. they are just as crooked. I researched both companies and got hits on Governement sites under Bankcruptcy and convictions of Commission Fraud (50 million dollars) I have paid the "fair market value" per Goverment Consumer site for items received and sent registered letters and closed my bank account so they cant dip into it for more money. I was promised another delivery but after weeks of runarounds GG stands firm that i received my enitre order. what they delivered is far far less than what i am being charged for.I doubt they will take me to court. I have all documentation, phone records, shipping maifests along with their pricing to back up my claim. I would rather they take me to court because they can not be sued to recover money under banruptcy protection
I think you are correct.. Happy customer, how can someone change their mind about food?? I just sign up with them and their price even for the meat is awsome considering i buy all organic...
Do what ever you can to cancel and be prepaed for a fight even after you have cancelled it. I was scamed by the Grocery Group as well and cancelled my order I also had a problem getting someone to answer the phone but I did and cancelled but to my suprise I had a finance company call me about my loan that I had with them for groceries I was beside my self I had not only never applied for a loan I had cancelled the contract. Again I called the Grocery Group and they claimed that I had not cancelled and that it was too late it went down hill from there. After speaking with Ron Gaal the owner he tried his hardest to bully me into thinking that I had no choice what kind of successful honest family business bullies people yep the Grocery Group. This man said that he would ruin my credit and that I had to take his food and guess what NO I DID NOT. I went through the BBB and they have givin the company an F as well as the other companies that this man has opened ripped prople off and then has closed reopening another business in a different name. He has sent registered letters to my home saying that I need to call to make arrangments to pay them for what the food order that I never recieved or is this because he had taken money from a finance company that was unaware that I had cancelled my order and I assume figured that I was now there problem. I had told Ron Gaal that I would make sure that anyone and everyone who would listin would know what kind of scam he was running and I am a woman of my word.
