I worked for this company up until a few weeks ago when everyone's paycheques bounced and they did not pay me and others for a month's work. No one was working in the warehouse for most of the month of February where the food is packed and shipped out to customers. Kat Hauch is no longer an employee with the company since December 2012 and is best friends with owner Shelley Atkinson-Gaal. She was placed in a 'manager' position when they needed to clean up customer complaints on the website. These people are bad news.
Please do not lie about your customer service. I have never dealt with a cmpany that has as poor cutoner service as the Grocery Group!!
I put an order in dec 3rd 2012 i didn't receive it until two months later. I had missing items and damaged items.They keep saying they will replace all the dented cans and replace the items i was missing. It is now march 25th and still nothing the VP was supposed to call me monday march 25 th of course they didn't call.I salesperson that came to my house ran my bill up over $5000 and what i received is only worth about $1000 i already have to go to grocery store and buy meat.I would say stay away from this company

I have been dealing with this crap since August! Like almost everyone on here I have been cheated out of goods and promised deliveries and product changes ect... They owe me $ and promised credits with a WalMart gift card. LOL I have tried to get a hold of them since January then started getting calls from Provider demanding payments for goods not received. Joy is horrible!!!!! I talked then to Larry who said they were a great company and to try the sister company "shop at home". He gave me this # 1-416-439-3836 and I spoke to a Tracey who said the grocery Group was re staffing all their office people and the original girls Katarina Stone and Julia were fired because they made so many mistakes with the customers. She said she was handling phone calls and looked into my file and promised to call the next day. This was in May! I have called since and nobody answers. I have since contacted the information for Mr. Newport and have yet to hear back. If I can help anyone please email me at sallymc@rogers.com. I have every conversation, letter ect documented for evidence with these people. My only concern is that provider continues to take money and said if I stop payment it will affect my credit.......
I wanted to put this up at the top of the page for people to see.I have a bunch of posts through this thread explaining in detail what I did but here's the condensed version for those who haven't read through it (I'd recommend reading the whole thing). Basically I was missing food, got the run around on what I would and wouldn't receive then I was avoided completely. No emails ever, no returned calls and eventually they didn't even answer the phone. I talked to Duncan Newport and he advised me to stop my payments and that I would be able to fix any issues with the credit bureau that may come up. I stopped the payments and sent an email to the grocery group and provider capital and immediately (within 30 minutes) received a phone call from the grocery group followed closely by a call from provider. They both told me that. I couldn't do that as I had signed a contract to which I replied the contract states I should be receiving much more than I have and I am not paying for product I haven't received. I then talked to the credit card company I had the payments charged to, they opened a dispute on the case and refunded all of the extra money I paid beyond the grocery store prices of what I actually received. I talked to provider a few times to try to explain that I would need everything I was promised by the grocery group but was told that since they didn't actually have more than the original order that the grocery group had entered to their computer they wouldn't move on what they were sending. Provider had until the 17 of June to respond to the dispute and they did not so the case is closed, I got my money back and my credit rating is fine. Provider knows that the grocery group was screwing people and they really didn't have a leg to stand on. They did what they could and at least tried to smooth things over with some of the customers and a few are happy with what they received from provider. I'm glad to be done with this hopefully others can find a satisfactory resolution to their issues too and I REALLY hope Mr Newport can bring charges against these crooks!
I too have been scammed. Took the order, took my chq cashed my chq after canceling the order with in 12 hrs, and can not get anyone to call me back. The order was placed on the 7th june, and noone will call back. Can't even find the phone numbers on canada 411 or the address. No address is listed. i want my money back
I too haven't been able to get a hold of them. I called all the numbers on the website and they're disconnected!!!!!!! I too would like to partake in this lawsuit. My email address is cmichisor@rogers.com.
